BLUE CHEER BASSIST/VOCALIST DICKIE PETERSON PASSES AT 61

It's been a tragic week for metal, BLUE CHEER bassist/vocalist DICKIE PETERSON has passed
away at 61. PETERSON was battling cancer during the last few years. BLUE CHEER are credited
as innovators of hard rock/metal and stoner doom as the bands influence has been felt for generations.
BLUE CHEER played ROADBURN (doom/avant garde festival) in 2007, a most important performance as the fans had to KNOW,
whom the FIRST DOOM and METAL band were, an important footnote to innovative influences.
"There aint no cure for the sumer time blues"-BLUE CHEER
RIP DICKIE PETERSON.
