TRIPTYKON RELEASE "SHATTER" EP 10/25/2010

Tom G. Warrior's new black metal post CELTIC FROST project TRIPTYKON have sent this message on the release of a 5 song EP entitled "Shatter".
FROM TRIPTYKON:
Triptykon, the highly acclaimed extreme metal group formed by former Hellhammer/Celtic Frost singer/guitarist Tom Gabriel Warrior, have captured the visual side of their deeply dark and mesmerizing art in the group’s first video clip, “Shatter”, to accompany the title track of Triptykon’s new 5-track EP (released on October 25, 2010, through Prowling Death Records/Century Media Records).

Based on a concept devised by Warrior and directed and filmed by Philipp Hirsch of Film-M (www.film-m.de ) in Leipzig, Germany, in late September 2010, the video clip combines the imagery of occult metal with the somber aesthetics of 1920s-era silent movies.

The video clip can be now seen here:

At a playing time of approximately 28 minutes, the "Shatter" EP will consist almost entirely of previously unreleased music. The EP's track listing is as follows:

1. Shatter
2. I Am The Twilight
3. Crucifixus
4. Circle Of The Tyrants (Live)
5. Dethroned Emperor (Live)

Tracks 1, 2 and 3 were recorded during the “Eparistera Daimones” album sessions in 2009. "Crucifixus" appears in a newly mixed and mastered version. Tracks 4 and 5 are cover versions of Celtic Frost songs, recorded live during Triptykon's headliner performance at the Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, The Netherlands, on April 16, 2010. "Dethroned Emperor" features guest lead vocals by Nocturno Culto of Darkthrone/Sarke.

Triptykon's “Shatter“ EP will be available as CD, digital download, and 12" vinyl (at 33⅓ rpm). The EP will further contain the lyrics to all songs as well as detailed liner notes and credits.

A very special and limited vinyl box set entitled "Eparistera Daimones – The Complete Sessions" (pictured above) will also be available via CM Distro as of October 25, containing the “Eparistera Daimones” album on 2LP picture vinyl with gatefold cover, printed inner sleeves and two posters + the newly released “Shatter” EP on picture vinyl with regular sleeve and printed inner sleeve.
