PSYCROPTIC UPDATE

Australian death metal warriors PSYCROPTIC have sent this update on the bands activities.
FROM NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS:
Australian Technical Death Metal Masters PSYCROPTIC have returned home to Australian shores after capping off an incredible year of Touring in 2010. After decimating the crowds on incredibly successful European and US tours throughout the year, 2011 will see the band re-enter the studio to record the highly anticipated follow up to their brilliant 4th release '(Ob) Servant'!

Heres what Drummer David Haley had to say......

"Well, 2010 was a pretty busy year for Psycroptic, we released our first ever DVD in early 2010 and toured Australia with DECAPITATED to promote the release. We played China and Inner Mongolia (we were the first 'western' band to play the city of HoHot in Inner Mongolia, crazy stuff!!) We toured Europe with our close friends CEPHALIC CARNAGE and rounded out the year with a US tour with NILE. In between all of this we were hard at work writing our new album...which we're happy to say is fully written. Its as yet untitled, but we are throwing a few names around. We start tracking the drums on Feb 14th at Red Planet Studios, and once completed we will be moving to Joe's (Haley - PSYCROPTIC guitarist) studio to complete all the rest of the recording. We'll be taking our time on this one, as we have felt a little rushed in the past...the material is great so we want to ensure the recording matches. We'll post studio progress reports to keep everyone updated. Look out for the new album later this year!!"
