SUMMER BREEZE OPEN AIR:IGNITE, ATHEIST & GRAVEYARD confirmed for SUMMER BREEZE OPEN AIR 2011! 8/18-20, 2011 DINKELSBUHL, GERMANY

Promoters for the 2011 SUMMER BREEZE OPEN AIR FESTIVAL have confirmed California, USA melodic hardcore heroes IGNITE, U.S. progressive/technical extreme metal warriors ATHEIST and stoner/doomsters GRAVEYARD for the fest, set to take place 8/18-20, 2011 DINKELSBUHL, GERMANY.
FROM SUMMER BREEZE OPEN AIR PROMOTERS:
After their amazing last record 'Our Darkest Days' (2006), the wait for a new IGNITE studio album still goes on unfortunately. But there's still good news to report from the Califonian melodic hardcore band's camp: They will grace SUMMER BREEZE with their presence for the first time. So get ready for huge hardcore anthems, big words from the always active (in politics, animal rights, etc.) frontman Zoli Teglas, who has already been called the Klaus Meine of hardcore due to his voice's distinctive timbre, and the biggest, bestest cover version in existence of U2's 'Sunday Bloody Sunday'. Includes goosebumps and good friendly violent pit action!
Metallers are commonly known as unbelievers with little fear of god. However, this isn't the only reason for the legendary status that ATHEIST hold, but rather the exceptional technical abilities of the band members. The Floridians belong to the absolute vanguard of progressive, technical death metal. If you like your riffs interrupted by crazy licks and even jazzy parts, this band is for you! ATHEIST belong in the same sphere as bands such as Cynic and Pestilence, who – in all extremity – have never lost the artistic edge, and the long hiatus they took between 1993 and 2006 cannot change this fact. Mandatory band!
GRAVEYARD's sophomore album 'Hisingen Blues' can be described as a little sensation. Never has a band captured the spirit of the legend named Led Zeppelin in a more tangible and authentic way than the band from Hisingen. No wonder that, in a time when retro sounds are more and more popular again, Nuclear Blast – who, as is known, have a pretty good nose for future mega-sellers – have secured the services of these Swedish up-and-comers. And it paid off: GRAVEYARD went straight to position number 78 of the German album charts. A great success for honest guitar music with no need for stylistic gimmicks, but which puts back into the spotlight what has always been the most important thing in music: the song itself!
