LAMB OF GOD: GUITARIST GIVES UPDATE ON SHOW CANCELLATIONS

Richmond, Virginia based thrash/core warriors LAMB OF GOD have given an update on the 3/7 and 3/9/2012 (NEW ZEALAND, and ANCHORAGE, ALASKA) show cancellations due to a "Family Emergency" in the LAMB OF GOD camp. It is speculated the cancelled shows will be re scheduled for LAMB OF GOD's next U.S. run of dates.

FROM WILLE ADLER (LAMB OF GOD): Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton has posted an update to his Facebook page concerning the bands recent cancellation of shows in New Zealand and Alaska. It can be read below.

While Morton didn’t go into any great detail, he did assure fans that the worst of the crisis is over. “The specific reason behind the show cancellations is a private matter,” he explained. “I can tell you, however, that things are looking up and everyone involved is going to be fine. We do appreciate everyone’s concern & thank you genuinely for respecting the privacy of our personal lives.”

The renowned axeman continued by saying that the decision to cancel the shows was made after due consideration. “It was not a flippant or careless decision on our part, and we apologize for the inconvenience it caused to the fans in Auckland & Anchorage.”

Morton’s partner in crime, Willie Adler also took to his Facebook account to explain the situation. “Hey guys, as you’ve heard, we were forced to cancel the last 2 shows of this last little jaunt we just did. As unfortunate for the fans as this is, it was an absolute necessity as family will always come first. My sincere apologies to the fans and my assurances that we will be coming back to make up for the missed shows. Thank you all for your understanding.”

Lamb Of God’s management released the following statement just days prior to the bands scheduled performance in Auckland, New Zealand. “Lamb of God have been forced to cancel their shows scheduled for March 7th in Auckland, New Zealand and March 9th in Anchorage, Alaska, due to a medical emergency regarding a family member.
