TRESPASS AMERICA FEST:PRODUCTION PROBLEMS IN OSWEGO, NY, CEREBRAL BORE BOOKED BEFORE LOCAL SUPPORT?

Last week, touring bands on both the TRESPASS AMERICA FESTIVAL (8/7/2012 Oswego, NY-AMP ENTERTAINMENT ) and THE 2012 SUMMER SLAUGHTER NORTH AMERICAN TOUR complained about dangerous performing conditions, production problems and over booked locals swindling top billing over signed international touring bands.
Scottish death metal warriors CEREBRAL BORE won a fan balloting contest for the 2012 SUMMER SLAUGHTER NORTH AMERICAN TOUR and are signed to EARACHE RECORDS.

Due to production problems, three or four bands on the TRESPASS AMERICA FESTIVAL cancelled out (BATTLECROSS, EMMURE, POP  EVIL) of the 8/7/2012 date as the main stage featured the headlining half of the bill.  TRESPASS AMERICA FESTIVAL featuring FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, GOD FORBID, TRIVIUM, EMMURE, POP EVIL and BATTLECROSS complained about a conflict with the Oswego, NY promoter as the second stage was too small and dangerous to perform on.

  • Joe Lisowski HAHAHHA...post this trash but not whats going on at the actual show today? You people disgust me!

  • Michael Sweezey Trivium is 2 hrs late to play in Oswego ny!! Better be good for the rest of the night

  • Aundrea Fox Show was Awesome when I seen them the other night in Cleveland. Have fun

  • Timothy Mavros I want to say that I love five finger death punch. But was sad to say the show Aug 7 at oswego speedway was dissapointing. Not that the bands who did perform were not good but all the problems they had before show time. Cut 4 bands from the line-up and the front of house guys for the bands kept messing with the sound. Sorry guys but your sound guys need to learn what there doing. When we did get the full effect of the sound it was great but almost every song kept hearing from the left side only or the right side only. I hope to see you guys again but under better circumstances. Signed a big fan.......

    August 8 at 11:36am ·  · 1

  • Adam Joswick Well i may not get to see the show on 081912 @ penns landing because my parole officer doesn't want me to go and refuses to give me permission to attend.....he thinks i wanna go for drugs and booze and i told him its about the music man! And he don't give a shit! Been waiting for this all summer and he just blew it!

  • Alex Hienz People it wasnt their fault the stage was dangerous and they had to find a stage last minute chill...
    August 8 at 2:24pm ·  · 1

  • Timothy Mavros I understand about the whole stage thing. I work as a stage hand and do security for concerts. I wasnt mad about the show just a bit disapointed. And the sound guys just couldn't get it done right. I'll go see them again. Just a bit disapointed.
    August 8 at 2:49pm via mobile ·

  • Timothy Mavros And brett you guys rocked it on stage glad you got to experience it.
    August 8 at 2:50pm via mobile ·

  • Zoltan Bathory Timothy Mavros - The local promoter decided to cut (his) cost and hired a stage that was cheap, inadequate and downright dangerous (he had done this without the band's and Trespass America's knowledge - breaking his contractual agreement. ) At that point we had 2 choices - Cancel the show and force him to refund everyones $$$ - or get a mobile stage up and running and do the show anyway... prevent a possible riot 4000 disappointed fans would most likely to

  • John Roberts Thank you for your decision to play. You guys were incredible and the fact that you really care about your fans is great.

  • Joe Lisowski Chill? If you want to be big time, then be able to handle big time. Enough $$ was spent on tix!! They should not have had a stage problem, it wasnt the first show this tour did!! So the stage specs should have been known WELL IN ADVANCE! No excuse, it was run like some kids running a "fest" in their back yards!!

  • Joe DiFabio Wow, bummed that I had to put in a full hot day at work to hurry and run up to Oswego for this? Been looking forward to for months, arrived to find bodies on the ground, overpriced concessions and " bargain priced " beer wristband, clueless event staff and amateur sound guys. Last 3 bands tried , stage was cheesy. Nice job ya thief of a promoter. Hope to see FFDP come back and try again.

  • Leauna Rebekah Davison i was there, & even though the bands were late performing i got to meet ffdp so my whole fucking night was made. there will always be problems guys how you face it is your own decision. i love you guys & thankyou SO much for staying & playing. because it was my first time seeing you in concert & i got to meet you in the same day, if that isnt the shit, then idk what is! keep rockin. i LOVE you guys. sincerely, a MAJOR satisfied fan. (:

  • Brian MacConaghy anyone know where we can see the pics from the meet and greet

  • Ryan J Dzierwa on the brightside, for as much as a shit show oswego was... i'll get to see FFDP on shiprocked :)

  • Scott Wilbur are you guys comming to the grate pacific northwest???

  • Cory W. Mollak how in the FUCK does this festival skip TEXAS: Land of metal....really? Austin, Dallas.....Houston........
.and it can't happen in any of these cities??? COM'ON, MAN!!!!

  • Amanda Barroncini I was at oswego. It was a bad venue due to the curfew they had. The concessions were overpriced and beer was as well. Security was terrible with the fights they acctually started. They drove a golf cart THROUGH the crowd expecting people on the outside to acctually move from were they were. People in the middle were trying to move but couldn't due to alot of people behind and around them. The stage was known about for quite some time before the concert. I just wish they would release what was wrong with the stage and why they couldn't release something about it. 2-3 days later there is nothing online about why. Except for 95X who tried to inform us but had nothing to do with anything except promoting onair.

  • Todd Maiuccoro It was in my city the other day had. Blast stop your whining Texas got the last ozzfest shut the fuck up

  • Ana McNulty awsome concert in oswego!!!

  • FROM CEREBRAL BORE:
So on the summer slaughter tour, it seems that regional opening bands are being placed above Cerebral bore on the bill, and seem to be allotted a longer set. We are being asked why this is the case every day by people at shows. And we know that A LOT of people are missing us play as they expected us to play AFTER the regional opener, as did we...
All we can say is, we were told this wouldn't be th

e case..and it's out of our control. You guys have been showing up in your hundreds first thing every day for us and we can't thank you enough, but if you want to see us on any of the remaining shows...get there early and
Smash the place when we play!!! And don't forget to buy merch and support us, we really do need it!!

      • Alexander Harp Friedman Regardless if a local band is ahead due to a shitty promoter is it worth complaining about on a status instead of a "Thank god we are on summer slaughter" status?

      • Chris Ryan Dude, I get what you mean by paying their dues because most people who are going to Summer's Laughter don't even know who Cerebral Bore is, but to bash their fans because they are taking you out of context isn't cool.
        Friday at 12:14pm ·  · 1

      • Alexander Harp Friedman I know how it works, and yes if a local is ahead of them.. lame.. not right. But is it worthy to complain about being the level they are on and the tours they have received? No.. It's just whining over something that is very minor.

      • Ekky Grindcore how many death metal and grindcore bands on summer slaughter tour ?
Friday at 12:14pm via mobile ·

      • David Berardi If it happened once or twice, whatever...the fact it's happening all of the time is stupid
Friday at 12:16pm via mobile ·

      • Alexander Harp Friedman The fact is happens somewhat is nothing to complain about.. That's like playing the best show you will ever play and go "Fuck... we are opening for these bands?"
        Friday at 12:17pm ·  · 1

      • Chris Ryan LET IT GO DUDE.

      • Terrence Tucker cant wait to see u guys next thursday

      • Beau Whelan You guys were the only reason why i attended slaughter anyways...
        Friday at 12:19pm via mobile ·  · 2

      • Cerebral bore We're just telling you the situation to save people from asking us, to give you a better chance of catching us play. And to let you know that all questions or comments on the situation should be directed at the decision makers, and not us.
        Friday at 12:20pm via mobile ·  · 12

      • Brian Dias If I went halfway across the world to play a tour and my fans kept missing out on seeing us because people thought we would be playing later then yeah, I would probably have some kind of issue with that as well. Speaking as someone who's actually known Paul since before CB got signed I'm sure he's actually quite thankful for the opportunity his band has been given. He's not complaining because they have to play early, he's just not happy because his fans aren't getting to see them play.

      • Joseph Shelton thanks for the heads up. ill make sure to get there as doors open in Detroit on wednesday.

      • Dem Igor Gon I hate it when people leave multiple comments saying the same thing. Ok we get the point. If I came to America to do a tour that I won and they did that I would be disappointed too. Their not ungrateful just disappointed.
Friday at 12:48pm via mobile ·

      • JRad Spicer Planning to show up early! Have been wanting to see you guys anyway. And it sucks that you play before Within the Ruins. I had to sit through them last year and they were awful.

      • Bryan Hancox In what way, shape or form have they (cerebral bore), expressed the indecency of being thankless or unsupporting Alex? They were just expressing that since they've won the contest to tour over there by being a constant band, that they would have secured a higher slot, but they haven't and has resulted in their fans missing out as in general people presume that if a band is advertised on the poster, they usually play above " plus guests". Not once have they come across as being without courtesy or being humble, have a look at your contract again CB, let's hope you haven't been messed around.
        Friday at 12:54pm via mobile ·  · 3

      • Cerebral bore We're not disappointed, we have been dealing with it for weeks and we are over it. We just want our fans to have a better chance of seeing us, and to save THEM from disappointment. Summer slaughter haven't made any posts about it (as far as I know), so we want our fans to have a heads up. Hopefully more people will now come out earlier!

        Friday at 1:39pm ·

      • Dan Woods IMO it should have been Cerebral then Cannibal as headliners, but those two are just my preference. The Clifton Park NY show was phenomenal, and I strongly urge any fan of Cannibal to show up early since Cerebral Bore is exceptional!

I luckily got to the venue early at irving plaza on wednsday and was able to see u guys. brutal as shit \m/. but yes, u deserve to be on at the expected time. you guys are apart of the tour, the contortionist fuckin wasnt. that band sucked. I felt reli bad. you guys do deserve so much more respect & attention & i hope over the next few years it increases ;).I wanted to buy a shirt or hat at the show, but was honestly low on cash. wanted to ask Som for a picture too, but was too nervous lol. saw her sitting at the merch stand all night. can't believe she's my age

      • Nick van Helvoirt come to holland and you get all the time you need by nuerotic deahtfest you where awesome keep up the good work we love you in holland thats for shore \m/

      • Patrick Conlon I saw you guys in Houston; I went for Goatwhore and Cannibal Corpse. I was there early enough to catch even the local opener. However had I not been and you were the first band on, I would have missed hearing a new band that I think is fantastic. I bought 4 shirts there: 2 Goatwhore, 1 Cannibal Corpse and a Cerebral Bore.

      • Estefan Ortega As a local death metal musician in San Antonio, naturally I was interested in playing the opening slot for Slaughter. We were told that we would have to buy our way onto the show for $1200 due to the high level of exposure we'd get. We were told this was done by the tour manager(s) rather than the venue. That very well may have something to do with you guys having to play earlier slots. Which is a fucking travesty.
Saturday at 3:58pm via mobile ·

      • Josh Welshnam Alexander's being a troll. The fact of the matter is that Cerebral Bore is part of the fucking main SS bill, they're part of the fucking tour. Local bands who should be opening the event shouldn't be placed above a band on the tour, plain and simple. They paid their dues and yeah it's a great opportunity for them to be on SS, they deserve to have the slot and amount of time to play that they earned, local bands shouldn't have more time to play than anyone on the main bill. Besides they came all the way from the UK, give them their rightful damn slot.

      • Fernando Armta Medellin I was really mad at the fact that conducting from the faggots played right after you guys and had a longer set at the los angeles show a few weeks ago. Bunch of bullshit!
