Promoters for the Lansing, Michigan (USA) music venue BLACKENED MOON have announced the venue is shutting down.
THE BLACKENED MOON hosted many metal, punk, hardcore, emo shows.

All shows are canceled! Blackened Moon is closing down! City shut the Blackened Moon down, cause if the shooting on Monday! We were not involved. It happened in the parking lot, not in the Moon, we were not even opened!

Ive only known Bon for a few months but I feel like ive known him for a metal eternity. Bon and his metal family have opened up those doors and gave us all something to love. A place where us headbangers could go and play our obnoxious fast heavy music and feel comfortable doing. Chaz and bon exxepted all with open arms and supplied Manic Outburst with a form of hospitality that we will be lucky to ever find again. Blakened moon is a METAL venue, not a gang affiliated venue, and metal is a brotherhood and we don't fire off at people for no bullshit reasons like dis-respect or walking onto each other's territory. if the shooting happened at, say, McDonalds, accross the street, would they shut down McDonalds? of course not. and did they shut down the restaurant that shares the same fucking parking lot with BM? probly not. this is uppity bitchy people stereotyping things they don't understand.
