ITP V.012 UPDATE: HURRICANE SANDY's WRATH, BBL WITH MORE METAL NEWS

ITP V.012 UPDATE: ON HURRICANE SANDY: It's NOT over yet, we're still experiencing some high winds, overcast, rain again. Do NOT cross rivers, creeks and streams by car or foot. Yes, highways situated on water become flooded so stay off the roads specifically near rivers, oceans and streams. Beware of trees as limbs may fall and tress have been uprooted.
ITP V.012's author is OK, we did NOT lose power, Internet is ON, and no damage or leaking at my residence.
However, NYC/NJ has suffered substantial damage in HURRICANE SANDY's wake, most are without power and are many blocks are flooded in Manhattan, NYC as many on the banks of specifically the Hudson  and East rivers have suffered flood damage.

Sit tight, as there are emergency shelters in each and every region, utilitiy companies are giving away free dry ice and bottled water, the power will be back on.
We're thinking about all of those adverse effected by HURRICANE SANDY as the storm was upgraded to a Tropical Cyclone.

Sadly, NYC, New York based metal webzine  METAL SUCKS has temporarily shut down due to  HURRICANE SANDY's wrath, as we hope all is well, and METAL SUCKS will be up and running soon.
FROM METAL SUCKS:

With nearly 5 million people throughout the New York City metro area without power, dozens of lives lost, thousands of homes destroyed and countless lives affected, MetalSucks will be shutting down indefinitely until we get our lives back in order. We will return to regularly posting as soon as we are able.
Feel free to enjoy some of our classic content — our all time “Greatest Hits” — in the meantime.
Thankfully, all of our staff members are safe, alive and well. We wish the best of luck and send our sincere thoughts out to all those affected by the storm.

FROM HUDSON VALLEY WEATHER:

Well, it's been a pretty crazy few days, but we have rode out another once in a lifetime weather event in the HV. Some have gone unscathed and some have had damage and continue to be without power. A chance of showers today and gusty winds will linger as we continue to feel the effects of Sandy, please be aware the win
ds will be string enough to continue to cause sporadic power outages throughout the day and more important can dislodge limbs and branches so always be aware of what's above you if wandering outside. The forecast for the HV was pretty much spot on to what we were forecasting, we remained on the dryer side of the storm with less rain then Irene and flooding only occurred on the Hudson and was related to tidal surge. Forecasted to winds to be stronger then Irene and for some areas based on topography to feel more of it then others, which from the storm reports you can clearly see the localized effects the wind had across our area. Overall given what the worst case scenario for this storm we should be very grateful for what we have seen. The news coming out of NYC,NJ and other areas is beyond words. There are to many stories to share and images to post at this point. Sandy has brought some of the countries largest cities to their knees and caused billions of dollars in damage in just NYC alone where a fire that has already destroyed 50 homes continue to burn and city subways are filled with corrosive salt water that will render mass transit useless for weeks. This has been and hopefully will always be one of the most unbelievable storms I have ever witnessed and likely ever will. This storm has just about shattered any record that would be used to describe a storms intensity, size and impact. I want to personally thank all of the new fans of HVW and ofcourse all of the fans that were hear when HVW had less then 100 people less then two years ago. Thank you for letting us do what we do and thank you for all of the support! This page has turned into something that we are still trying to wrap our brains around and it's every one of you that make it what it is.. Lets start to put out beautiful Hudson Valley back together and keep our hearts and our thoughts with everyone so heavily impacted across the northeast coasts and with the families who have lost their loves ones.
