PUSSY RIOT: 60 MINUTES INTERVIEW (CBS)

A member of Russian punk rock/ protest band PUSSY RIOT granted an interview with ABC TV's "60 MINUTES",  aired TONIGHT 3/24/2013 7PM EST. The member of PUSSY RIOT interviewed on "60 Minutes" has chosen to remain anonymous as she is in hiding due to her bandmates 2012 conviction of "hooglanism".  
                                                                                                                                                                  PUSSY RIOTS criminal charges stemmed from an incident (2012) when the band protested Russian President Putin, stormed the alter in a Orthodox Moscow church, and sung a provocative punk rock protest song.


Human Rights organization AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL have commented on the guilty verdict vs. Russian punk rockers PUSSY RIOT describing them as "political prisoners". PUSSY RIOT, stormed the alter in a Moscow Orthodox church, and sung a provocative punk rock protest song. Four members of the Russian band PUSSY RIOT stormed the alter in costume 2/21/2012 and sang "Virgin Mary, Get Putin Out." The stunt lasted less than a minute before the women were forcibly removed. PUSSY RIOT were charged with "criminal hooliganism" and sentenced to two years in prison in a Russian court.
