German thrash legends KREATOR have announced a fall 2013 NORTH AMERICAN co-headlining tour with OVERKILL and WARBRINGER.

Returning to North America for the second run in support of their thirteenth studio album Phantom Antichrist, German thrash overlords KREATOR will launch a co-headlining tour this fall with New York thrashers Overkill through the U.S. & Canada. Opening each night will be California’s Warbringer. 

The first of 24 shows will take place on October 30th at the Soundstage in Baltimore, Maryland with KREATOR headlining; Overkill will end the tour with a headlining set at New York City’s Stage 48 on November 24th.

Right now, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is considering lifting a temporary ban on fracking in New York. Lifting this temporary ban would threaten communities' health, pollute vital water sources, open up peoples' lands to gas exploration, and speed up global climate change. Communities across the country are watching to see if the Governor will stand with communities calling for a healthy environment or an industry determined to exploit New York's gas fields. What happens in New York is critical to the nationwide fight against fracking.

Realizing the fight New York's communities face, Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon started the Artists Against Fracking campaign, which has organized over nearly 200 of the world's biggest artists, musicians and filmmakers to raise public awareness about fracking to new levels. Now we're taking public awareness and turning it into public action to get fracking banned, starting in New York!

What is Fracking?
Hydraulic fracturing, also known as "fracking", is a new method of extracting natural gas and oil from rocks at depths from 2,000 to 10,000 feet. First, deep wells are drilled straight down through the aquifer. This drilling then curves horizontally below the earth's surface and into its shale rock formations. Next, millions of gallons of water laced with chemicals is injected at extremely high pressure into these rock formations, breaking apart the rock and freeing trapped methane along with other dangerous materials.

There are more than 27,000 wells in the US and each well uses 1-8 million gallons of water and 80-300 tons of chemicals each time it's fracked (wells can be fracked up to 8 times). However, only 4 states of the 31 that have major fracking projects have robust drilling rules in place. The fracking industry remains exempt from Clean Water, Safe Drinking Water and Clean Air Acts, hazardous waste disposal and other federal regulations.

Why New York?
New York, a bellwether state for natural gas development, is home to the marcellus shale, the type of rock formation that holds large reserves in natural gas. Many states with natural gas reserves are watching New York's decision on whether to lift the temporary ban. Lifting the ban instead of making it permanent would likely usher in a new era of gas drilling across the country. New York Governor Cuomo's decision on fracking will define his administration's clean energy policy. Let's help him make the right choice and turn New York into a clean energy state!

The estate of late drummer LEVON HELM of rock legends the BAND have announced the NY STATE ASSEMBLY have passed a bill to name route 375 in ULSTER COUNTY NY "LEVON HELM MEMORIAL BOULEVARD".

LEVON HELM performed monthly rambles on his farm ("The barn", WOODSTOCK, NY) to benefit and off set medical costs
regarding his medical treatments.
LEVON HELM was nominated for a GRAMMY  for his 2007 release "Dirt Farmer" and won a GRAMMY life time achievement award in 2013.

The LEVON HELM estate have unleashed the documentary "Aint in it for My Health" playing now playing at CINEMA VILLAGE, NYC, New York and released in movie theaters nationally.





LEVON HELM passed away  4/19/2012 to complications of throat cancer.

Some issues have come up in my life, until I confirm the scenario, if it's a substantial scenario worth worrying about regarding a few frauds and corruption, we'll see what happens.

However, if it is a substantial issue, a few will lose their jobs, and be arrested for their corruption, don't expect anything but arrests from me.
I don't like the bigotry of certain morons around me.

What's it like to tour internationally in a high profile band, meet fans in from diverse cultural, socio- economic and political back rounds?
LAMB OF GOD filmed this documentary last year (2012) on an international tour in support of their latest release "Resolution". LAMB OF GOD, on specific subject themes asked fans what is like to be a metal fan in your country? Describe being a female fan of metal and issues regarding women in this age.


LAMB OF GOD learned alot about their fans, international metal heads and how metal transcends ethnic, cultural political, economic boundaries and the world around them in this tour documentary, due out soon.

LAMB OF GOD Asks Men and Women of our U.S. Military to Submit Photos for Tour Video

LAMB OF GOD is looking to honor the brave men and women of our United States military by incorporating soldier’s names and faces into a video presentation during their upcoming U.S. tour. If you are in the military, or have a husband, wife, brother, sister, friend or family member who has served or is actively serving, and wish to be included in this video tribute, please take a moment to send a photo to logvideocontent@gmail.com.

Please keep the photos under 2MB and include the soldier’s name, military branch, and a brief description of where the soldier is serving or has served. The band is asking for photos of soldiers killed in action, those actively serving, and those who have completed their service to our country.

This presentation will be directed by LAMB OF GOD lead guitarist Mark Morton and longtime LAMB OF GOD videographer Doug Spangenberg, and will be seen by tens of thousands of people over the course of LAMB OF GOD’s upcoming U.S. tour. Please send your photos and information in as soon as possible if you would like for you or your loved one to be included in this tribute.

HYPOCRISY: Forced to Sit Out North American Tour, ABORTED CANCEL OUT OF ARSIS, KRISIUN,STARKILL and AUTUMN’S END NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

Swedish death metal warriors HYPOCRISY and Belgium grind core warriors ABORTED have announced the band has cancelled out of their spring 2013 NORTH AMERICAN tour with KRISIUN, ARSIS, STARKILL and AUTUMN’S END citing VISA issues.

HYPOCRISY unleashed  "End Of Disclosure",  3/22/2013 (EU), 4/2/2013 (NORTH AMERICA) via NUCLEAR BLAST.

FROM HYPOCRISY:

HYPOCRISY have been forced to sit out the upcoming North American tour this May due to reasons beyond their control. The band members had received their visa approvals and everything was going as scheduled, until the embassy let them know that the earliest they could pick up their visas, get them stamped and so on, wasn't until late June at the earliest. A regular procedure that would normally take just a few days to sort, takes much longer at the moment due to that current workload Homeland Security is experiencing.

“As we were getting ready to go get our visas stamped and ready for the tour we were informed that the earliest we could go initially was sometime in July,” explains guitarist/vocalist Peter Tägtgren.“We then immediately continued to call them, got the label to help with some letters, and put our lawyer to work etc. The best that got us was an appointment in late June. This is a HUGE blow to us, to our fans and everyone who has supported HYPOCRISY in North America. Sometimes there are battles you can’t win, and this is one of them. We will be back, I can promise that!”

The trek was also initially set to feature Brazilian brothers in death KRISIUN,Belgian gore-grindersABORTED, and technical-melodic-death-masters ARSIS,as well as AUTUMN’S END and STARKILL on select shows. The tour will continue as previously scheduled at this time minus HYPOCRISYand ABORTED.

FROM ABORTED: 

Unfortunately rumors are true. We were forced to pull out of our north american tour with hypocrisy,krisiun and arsis. Due to reasons beyond control, hypocrisy were not able to receive their us visas in time and had to pull out. We only found out 3 days ago and were sharing transport with hypocrisy. Being this close to the start of tour finding an affordable method of transportation and a driver was a near impossible task, making it impossible for us to still make it. We are extremely disapointed as we were very excited to make it back out to the us for our fans and share the stage on this great line up. We had flights booked. Visas processed and everything good to go so when the news hit it came as a shock. This cost us several thousands of dollars out of our own pockets and continueing would cost us even more money which we simply dont have. We apologise to the fans and are already looking for a replacenent tour in the near future. Krisiun and arsis are still doing the tour and we urge you all to still go and support them. All the bands here are victims in this of bureaucratic procedures so no need to point fingers. We are all as broken by this as anyone else.
