MOTORHEAD (COMMENT ON WACKEN OPEN AIR 2013 SHORTENED SET): "LEMMY FINALLY REALIZED HE MAY HAVE BITTEN OFF MORE THAN HE CAN CHEW"

MOTORHEAD have commented on the bands WACKEN OPEN AIR 2013 performance as main man LEMMY KILMISTER fell ill on stage as the band's set was cut short from an hour and 15 to only a half hour.

UK heavy metal legends MOTORHEAD have regretfully cancelled all remaining dates of the bands summer 2013 EUROPEAN/FESTIVAL tour as main man (bassist/ vocalist) LEMMY KILMISTER was diagnosed with Hematoma, an injured hip and was recently fitted with a defibrillator.

MOTORHEAD are set to release a new offering entitled "Aftershock", due to be unleashed in September 2013.

FROM PHIL CAMPBELL (MOTORHEAD):
"Contrary to some reports, Lem is alive and kicking so take no notice of these rumours from asshole tweeters"- Phil Campbell (@MotorheadPhil)

FROM MOTORHEAD:
"The show had to go on because that's how Lemmy rolls. Even though he was not 100% fit, he refused to feel he was letting the 85,000 Wacken fans down. They kicked ass in the 100+degree heat for a shortened, but powerful, set before, Lemmy finally realized he might have bitten off a little more than he could chew. Thus he will embark upon the recuperation recommended. We know that rumors are flying around, but once he fully recharges, Motörhead will be back, don't you worry!"

FROM TONY IOMMI (BLACK SABBATH):
Lemmy,

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Best wishes,

Tony
