CARPATHIAN FOREST and MISANTROF/ANTI RECORDS: SET TO UNLEASH "ANTI CHRISTMAS" COMPILATION: BANDS NEEDED

DANIEL VRANGSINN, president of MISANTROF/ANTI RECORDS is set to unleash an "ANTI CHRISTMAS" COMPILATION as fans, and metal band participation is needed to create and record for said compilation, deadline 11/20/2013.

A MESSAGE FROM VRANGSINN

Since I keep getting the same questions over and over I will summarize the rules for the HOLY FUCKING ANTIChristmas compilation and then ask you all to spread this status message all over Facebook so as many bands as possible can get a chance to send in their music.

- There are absolutely no rules in regards of genre. Make any genre you desire

- Create and record a song for this compilation - Already released material will not be accepted. The challenge is to write something completely new. In some cases we do however accept old material if it is previously unreleased. But we do prefer original material created for this compilation over old unreleased material.

- You will own all rights to your music, Misantrof only have the right to distribute this compilation in digital format worldwide. You can use the material for anything you desire after the compilation has been released.

- Do the best you can with what you got. We do of course prefer recordings with a good quality production but as many production errors can be fixed during mastering we do leave some wiggleroom here. We who work for Misantrof will select the material we allow to be a part of the compilation and if it the production is total shit we refuse to release it

- We need the files in their original uncompressed format the way they were recorded - NOT mp3. The Mp3 format lacks about 9/10th of the original recorded information and is therefore extremely difficult to work with and will most often be impossible to fix during mastering - Converting your Mp3 files back to an uncompressed format will not bring those missing details back. We do prefer wave format (.wav) but other loss-less formats are also accepted. The only exception to this rule is if the music is already mastered and the mp3 files are minimum 256 kb/s.

- We need you to include relevant information about your band like name, some short bio, links to your websites and such - The more info the better. This compilation sole purpose is after all to promote YOUR music.

- The deadline is November 30th. Material received after this date will not be accepted.

- Send your files to support@misantrof.net and one of our volunteers will pick it up from there.

Good luck with the challenge my fellow musicians all over the globe. This compilation is one of our most popular releases every single years and it is a great chance for you to promote your music. This is the 6th year we release this compilation. The challenge is not supposed to be easy - It would not be a challenge if it was You will find all the previous compilations on the Misantrof website and they should answer any remaining questions.
