FROM HEAVY DAYS IN DOOMTOWN 2014 PROMOTERS:
Tonight we will present to you the first band announcement of the line-up for Heavy Days in Doomtown III! We will announce a band a day throughout all of December and beginning of January till all the bands are announced. So stay tuned as we release the bombs of joy on a daily basis from now on!

But first things first; We are really proud to bring to you one of the best newer doom acts to come out of the very productive Richmond, Virginia; please give it up for the amazing WINDHAND!!!
Windhand are from Richmond, VA in the USA. They have been around since 2009 and released their debut record in 2012 and this was followed this year with a split EP with COUGH (who floored HDDT last year and whom they also share a member with) and a new album, SOMA, this year. The vocal of Dorthia Cottrell give the bands ultra-heavy sound, an air of ethereal space at times and the band is often compared to the Devil’s Blood, and Blood Ceremony with some Electric Wizard thrown on top with the melodic sensibility of Uncle Acid. The band’s latest album has a more psychedelic edge to the very heavy and catchy doom. Expect an intense set.

It feels like just a minute ago that we announced the first band for the HDDT III lineup, but now we are ready once again with another announcement for you. And what a treat we have for you this morning!

We are exalted to present to you one the biggest and most renowned psychedelic garage rock band s to ever come out of Denmark; Lorenzo Woodrose’s BABY WOODROSE!!!

Baby Woodrose has been on the scene for more than 10 years touring Europe and Denmark every year and releasing classic 60’s inspired psychedelic music, with each record having a new flavour. Fronted by Lorenzo Woodrose, Baby Woodrose is currently backed up by the guys from the Telestar Drone Sound, another local Copenhagen band. We honoured and extremely excited to bring the HDDT crowd a bit of Denmarks finest! Prepare yourself, cause you are in for a treat!
