WINSTON FARM 2014, SAUGERTIES, NY: WILL NOT HOST ELECTRIC DAISY FESTIVAL

Promoters for WINSTON FARM (Saugerties, NY-the site of WOODSTOCK '94) have announced electronic music festival ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL EVENT, proposed for Memorial Day Weekend 2014 will NOT be taking place at said location as the proposal was DENIED by the Schaller family, owners of WINSTON FARM.

FROM SAUGERTIES, NY TOWN SUPERVISOR KELLY MYERS (VIA KINGSTON FREEMAN):
“The Electric Daisy concert does not look like it’s going to happen,” Myers said. “There were some concerns about how to safely manage that and the Schaller family has had some concerns as well.”

Legendary rock promoter Michael Lang bought Winston Farm (Saugerties, NY) and has converted the site of WOODSTOCK '94 into an all purpose music site.

Earlier this year, legendary rock promoter MICHAEL LANG proposed 3 day festival "Counterpoint" (Georgia based jam band/techno and electronic festival) was CANCELLED as the festival WAS set to take place 7/11-13, 2013 promoted via MCP PRODUCTIONS (https://www.facebook.com/mcppresents). MCP PRODUCTIONS have stated they did not have enough time to promote said event there fore pulled out.

However, legendary rock promoter Michael Lang (Woodstock '69, '94 and '99 ) is currently in negotiations with MCP PRODUCTIONS and the town board of Saugerties, NY for a proposed mid summer 2014 multi genre 30, 000 capacity festival. Hudson Project Music and Arts Festival 2014, negotiating for 7/10-13, 2014, WINSTON FARM, pending Saugerties, NY town board approval.

Next year, 2014, will be the 20th anniversary of WOODSTOCK '94, attended by over 500, 000 people at WINSTON FARM, Saugerties, NY.
