PESTILENCE: ANNOUNCE SPRING 2014 EUROPEAN TOUR WITH SETH and ANCIENT ASCENDANT

Netherlands based death metal warriors PESTILENCE have announced a spring 2014 EUROPEAN tour with SETH and ANCIENT ASCENDANT.

PESTILENCE unleashed "Obsideo" 11/11/2013 via CANDLELIGHT RECORDS.

SETH unleashed "The Howling Spirit" 6/7/2013 via SEASON OF MIST.

ANCIENT ASCENDANT unleashed "Into The Dark" (EP) 8/6/2012 via FOREPOINT RECORDS and
"The Grim Awakening" 8/15/2011 via SIEGE OF AMIDA RECORDS.

PESTILENCE

The celebrated Dutch monster will headline “PEST OVER EUROPE 2014” presenting their new seventh studio album "Obsideo", out now on Candlelight Records.

Formed in 1986, PESTILENCE took influence from early American and German thrash metal to cultivate its now signature death metal sound. Four masterpiece albums would see their release and continued worldwide growth for the band before members decided to go separate ways in 1994. Fourteen years later, the band would reform and in 2009 they released their comeback album “Resurrection Macabre” and the second latest opus “Doctrine” in 2011.

PESTILENCE, featuring mastermind Patrick Mameli, his long-time partner guitarist Patrick Uterwijk, new bassist Georg Maier and Australian drummer Dave Haley (Psycroptic), will perform not only the best tracks from their new record but also the old classics.

Main support will be the French kings of black metal SETH that have returned with their fifth album "The Howling Spirit" on Season of Mist. The band combines the harsh and sinister sound of their country's current Black Metal movement with an unerring sense for the atmospheric and melodic. “The Howling Spirit” sees SETH ready to reclaim their rightful throne as the leaders of French Black Metal.

Opening the package will be the new sensation of the British extreme metal ANCIENT ASCENDANT with a fresh deal with Candlelight to unveil their finest work to date: a unique brand of song writing based on a solid foundation of black and death metal, whilst injecting eclectic ideas from a wide range of fine metal traditions.

“PEST OVER EUROPE 2014” will cross nine different countries with seventeen incendiary shows and it will be a rare opportunity to see PESTILENCE live on stage during the whole year.
