GWAR: "SHEER BRILLIANCE"

ITP V.014's author is pretty shaken up regarding yesterdays news of DAVE BROCKIE (ODERUS URUNGUS) of GWAR's death, so many awesome memories and the band puts on an amazing live show with live mock sacrifices of celebrities and politicians.
GWAR are one of the longest running cult metal bands in American metal. A band that needs to be seen live to be understood, GWAR were actually banned by the religious right in Virginia back in the 80's and have survived for over 30 years in metal. It's always funny to take a friend to a GWAR show that's never seen the band before, and LMAO, watch the look on their face as they come out of the slave pit soaking wet with fake blood. GWAR are a band, (I have no shame in saying this) I'm actually addicted to seeing them live, and I have so much fun crowd surfing, stage diving, and just watching the band dismember everything, celebrities, politicians, YOU and getting soaking wet. I have so many, CRAZY stories about GWAR shows, the pits, the red blood (artificial food coloring, it comes off in the wash).
GWAR work hard to consistently put on great shows/tours for all of us.
I can't imagine this toilet Earth nor extreme metal without this KULT thing called GWAR. HAILS to GWAR, condolences to all of DAVE BROCKIE (ODERUS URUNGUS) CORY SMOOT (Flattus Maximus-GWAR guitarist) friends, family, fans and bandmates stay with us brothers, and RIP TO DAVE BROCKIE.

RIP DAVE BROCKIE (ODERUS URUNGUS) and Flattus Maximus (CORY SMOOT).

I'm not sure what will become of GWAR now.
