SXSW 2014 3/7-16 AUSTIN, TEXAS: PROMOTERS COMMENT ON ACCIDENT

SXSW (FEST) 2014 3/7-16 AUSTIN, TEXAS promoters have commented on the incident of the speeding car, (driving the wrong way down a one way street while chased by police) whom plowed through temporary barricades and a blocked street of concert goers/ pedestrians killing two and injuring 23.

The accident happened just a outside club MOHAWK and just a few blocks from RED 7 where the BROOKLYN VEGAN had a showcase.

The suspected driver of the accident at SXSW FEST 2014 Fest (male), jumped out of his car and fled until police chased him down, and tasered him. The suspect in the driver/pedestrian vehicular homicide incident has been charged with capital murder. Rumors the driver was drunk are being investigated.

SXSW (FEST) 2014 set to take place 3/7-16 AUSTIN, TEXAS (in multiple venues throughout the city) features film, interactive, guest speakers, and bands/ artists performing in all genres of music.

We appreciate and commend the first responders, as well as the city agencies who so quickly sprung into action.
