MARYLAND DEATH FEST 2014 May 22nd - May 25th, 2014, Baltimore, MD (@ 545 N. High Street (Edison Parking lot), THURSDAY: RAM's HEAD LIVE,FRIDAY-SUNDAY-BALTIMORE SOUNDSTAGE) ANNOUNCE: "Both Aeternus and Mitochondrion will not be making it to MDF"

Promoters for MARYLAND DEATH FEST 2014, set to take place May 22nd - May 25th, 2014, Baltimore, MD (@ 545 N. High Street (Edison Parking lot), THURSDAY: RAM's HEAD LIVE,FRIDAY-SUNDAY-BALTIMORE SOUNDSTAGE )  have regretfully announced, due to last minute VISA issues: "Both Aeternus and Mitochondrion will not be making it to MDF".

Swiss metal warriors TRIPTYKON cancelled the bands appearance at MARYLAND DEATH FEST 2014 last week due to the death of artist and friend H.R. GIGER.

FROM MARYLAND DEATH FEST 2014 PROMOTERS:
Unfortunately, both Aeternus and Mitochondrion will not be making it to MDF.
Regarding Aeternus, it's a complicated ordeal to explain, but in a nutshell, the USCIS fucked up and gave them a visa date valid only until the day BEFORE they were supposed to leave the US. The original request was for visas valid until June 1st, but this error on behalf of the USCIS was not noticed until they were at the airport today and the airline told them they could not fly to the US. Frustrated? So are we, and so is the band. This is the first time a band actually received visas and still ended up cancelling for some reason.

BÖLZER will be playing a second set at Rams Head tomorrow night. We will update the schedule tonight reflecting that change.
Regarding Mitochondrion, we don't really understand what happened, but it had something to do with being stopped at the Canadian/US border and sent back home. We have a lot on our plate right now, as you can probably imagine, so please be patient and stay tuned regarding schedule changes to the Sunday shows at Rams Head.

FROM AETERNUS:
We are so very sorry and disappointed to have to announce that Aeternus is being forced to pull out of MDF because we cannot travel to the USA. We received our visas only after a very long, and totally fucked up process, and whilst on our way to get our bags checked in at Bergen airport we were informed that we would be refused entry into the USA because our visas were only valid until the day before the date of our departure back home. This is totally and completely due to an error made by the USCIS, because they were informed quite clearly by the organisers of MDF that the visas were required until the 1st June, whilst we ourselves made it very clear on our papers that our return flight was scheduled for the 25th. Something the embassy completely ignored when issuing the visas. We tried to get our return flights changed as soon as we found out, but British Airways demanded another 2,000 Euros for each of us, and of as you can imagine it is impossible for us to find that kind of money. So here we are, in Bergen, Norway, with no possibility of playing for our US fans at MDF because of a "clerical error". We don't have any words to describe our feelings. A big dream for the band was crushed yesterday and all we can do is apologise to all of those who have waited for many years to see us live. We will try everything in our power to make it up to you as soon as possible!

FROM  MITOCHONDRION:
MITOCHONDRION WAS DENIED ENTRY INTO THE U.S.A. With heavy hearts we apologize to all of the fans who were looking forward to our performance at MDF. The border Gestapo decided we were not allowed to play for free on American soil.
F.T.W. Hail Death. We'll be back ...
