ITP V.014 THE MUSIC BUSINESS: BLOOD MUSIC: "We're going to continue all signed-on projects to their fullest which should bring us to the end of 2015, and then we're going to forcibly shrink the label down from 2016 on"

Finland based record label/distributor BLOOD MUSIC has released this statement as the label is downsizing: "We're going to continue all signed-on projects to their fullest which should bring us to the end of 2015, and then we're going to forcibly shrink the label down from 2016 on".

FROM BLOOD MUSIC:
So, we've made our decision.
We're going to continue all signed-on projects to their fullest which should bring us to the end of 2015, and then we're going to forcibly shrink the label down from 2016 on.
Which means that in the meantime, we're going to basically stop signing projects.
This label has been an incredible outlet for us. It has gotten far, far larger than we ever meant it to. It has surpassed our expectations a dozen times over - something that we've constantly been excited about.
Even though it is still small and still young, it's going to be difficult to bottleneck it and turn it into a part-time outlet once again - but we feel that it's necessary to preserve our sanity.
When we're working, we're putting in 18 hour days / 7 days a week just to keep the quality high on so many items and make it through all the necessary details.
We're in love with too many artists and projects, the list could go on forever. We want to help them all - but there's a definite limit to our capacity, and we've been stepping over it for quite a while now.
The label continues to grow all the time, and we sought help to try to ride the wave of growth. But, the help just didn't work out, and we've lost the motivation to forcibly try to ride this wave anymore.
So, we will kick ass through the end of this year and all through next year too, and then we will condense to a very limited entity once again - with only a couple releases per year - focusing on the most sensible projects for us. We would like to eventually take time to relax, get some haircuts, try to remember what's happened over the past few years because it's seriously all been a blur.
We won't disappear. But we can't compete in the field of 'major players' anymore.
Thank you all crazy amounts for all the support - it's just unbelievable. And we hope you'll still be on board for the next ~year-or-so while we wind this down with loads of incredible bands and further on into the future.

Thanks-Stay Metal, Stay Brutal-\m/ -l-
