FROM ROADBURN 2015 PROMOTERS:
Spidergawd is a Norwegian sort-of supergroup featuring Motorpsycho‘s Bent Sæther (bass), Kenneth Kapstad (drums) and guitarist / vocalist Per Borten of Cadilac-fame – the only Trondheim band that ever got close to Norway’s much revered rock titans.
Norway's Spidergawd (ft. Motorpsycho's Bent Sæther and Kenneth Kapstad) bring their fuzzed out post-poogie assault to Roadburn 2015.

However, Spidergawd is a band in its own right, and on their bludgeoning S/T debut, the band, completed by Rolf Martin Snustad on saxophone, proffer a bulldozing, fuzzed out post-boogie assault, which owes equal debts to to ZZ Top, MC5, Foghat or even Savoy Brown.

Yes, this is full-on heavy 70s worship, delivered with relish by a bunch of Hard Rock aficionados that are currently creating quite a buzz in Norway, and will capture the 20th edition of Roadburn Festival by storm when they hit Het Patronaat in Tilburg, The Netherlands on Thursday, April 9th.

London-based blackened doom triad Bast burst into metal consciousness late last year having impressed mighty Conan main man Jon Paul Davis enough to make their album Spectres the first release on his own Black Bow Recordsimprint and soon after impressing all who strayed into their path of devastation.

Spectres sees the band ascend to the heights of epically blasting black metal with In The Beginning, plunge to the depths of tomb-scraping doom with Denizens with the moody, brooding Psychonauts glowering somewhere between the two and epic closing track Outside The Circles Of Time providing a brutal slow-motion pummel.

Over the last year Bast have managed to staunchly hold their own on stages shared with such behemoths as Yob, Pallbearer, Conan, Primitive Man, Coltsblood and Opium Lord and next year will see them upping their game yet more and bringing the hammer down at Roadburn in the Green Room on Sunday, April 12 at the 013 venue in Tilburg, The Netherlands.

For the better part of the past five years, Ohio fuzz rockers Lo-Pan have been on tour in support of their 2009 sophomore outing, Sasquanout, and 2011’s Salvador, turning them into one of the underground’s hardest touring bands.

Salvador was a pinnacle for Lo-Pan‘s blend of their 70s rock heritage shot through with 80s metal fire, a fluid groove, and soulful vocals, pushing the band beyond the confines of the stoner rock genre.

Hot on the heels of the their forthcoming album, Colossus – the band’s fourth overall and second full-length for Detroit’s Small Stone Records – Lo-Pan will kick a good deal of ass at the 20th edition of Roadburn Festival on Sunday, April 12th at the 013 venue in Tilburg, The Netherlands.

Colossus marks a meaner, more precise Lo-Pan with the band a tighter and more efficient-sounding unit than they’ve ever been!

Delivering a raucous blend of psychobilly, blues, country and metal filtered through plenty of moonshine, Scott H. Biram isn’t a one-man band. He is THE one-man band. A pre-eminent bluesman for the 21st century with a raw immediacy that is alternately hypnotic and harrowing.

Biram will unleash his unfettered depression era blues at the 20th edition of Roadburn on Thursday, April 9 at the 013 venue in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Fair warning: don’t be fooled by the whiskey and chicken antics, Scott H. Biram will unleash an unholy onslaught that will deliver you to a fiery baptism.

Spawned in the benighted ichor-filled nether-pits below Liverpool, disgusting doomed triumvirate Coltsblood deliver the most depraved and repulsive take on death-inspired doom metal ever to punish your worthless ears. A festering avalanche of bubonically-blighted bass, powerfully perverse percussion, tomb-scraping vocals and lysergically damaged guitar, Coltsblood will drown you in raw filth.

Having unleashed their first full-length album, Into The Unfathomable Abyss, earlier this year via Candlelight, Dry Cough and Burning World – enrobed in a sleeve featuring the demented scrawlings of legendary Grief mainman Eric C Harrison – Coltsblood have defiled stages with such wretched peers as Horse Latitudes, Crypt Lurker, The Wounded Kings and Watain and now Roadburn is proud to announce that they will be playing the 20th Roadburn Festival on Saturday, April 11th 2015 on Stage One, the 013 venue, Tilburg, The Netherlands.

Behold! Denver, Colorado’s PRIMITIVE MAN will unleash a filthy, malignant maelstrom of blood drenched, blackened doom and soul-annihilating, dissonant sluge at the 20th edition of Roadburn Festival on Thursday, April 9 at the 013 venue in Tilburg, The Netherlands.

Thrillingly misanthropic in their approach, Primitive Man’s pure hatred, self loathing and psychotic rage will plunge you straight into the depths of hell. The band’s terrifying yet enthralling first full-length, Scorn (out on Relapse Records), is one of the heaviest debuts this side of Eyehategod‘s In The Name of Suffering, and beats the listener senseless with abrasive chunks of unapologetic, claustrophobic terror.

Don’t shy away from Primitive Man‘s malevolence, instead, embrace the pleasure of their devilish punishment and immerse yourself in the cathartic, searing pain and unrequited hate

A darker, much more shadowy version of Johnny Cash, King Dude is a modern day man in black, ephemerally running the musical gamut between Wovenhand and Der Blutharsch. His death ballads from beyond will lift us up from our darkness of ignorance towards the ever guiding light at the 20th edition of Roadburn Festival on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Het Patronaat in Tilburg, The Netherlands.
