Toronto, Ontario (Canada) based promoter INERTIA ENTERTAINMENT has sent this message warning regional concert goers of scalpers and ticket scammers.

Fans of Inertia Entertainment. It has been brought to my attention a couple times this year that there are some companies taking advantage of fans, reselling ticket to non sold out shows for massively increased prices. (there was also a company selling fraudulent tickets as well) This is happening for all different promoters and different events.
*I was approached by a fan who has paid 200$ US for a pair of Opeth tickets who had not received them as of yet*
Do be aware, the only authorized ticket sellers for Inertia Entertainment are Ticketfly for all online sales and Rotate This for in person sales.

**Artist Fan Clubs may run pre-sales and carry them through the onsales when we activate our ticketfly links, but these links will be available only through the Official Artist Websites - some of the more common ones are Artist Arena, GroundCtrl & Soundrink - if you are ever in doubt, do your best to verify the seller via emails to the bands, or promoter - we all want to protect the fans and ensure a proper ticket ends up in their hands**
For any event, should the event be sold out we will have it clearly stated on the facebook event or our website that it is. Otherwise look to our facebook events and website for the correct ticket link for purchases.
Any others attempting to sell tickets online through alternate websites at increased prices are a Fraud. Buyer beware!
Attached is a screen shot for Black Label Society where the same GA ticket we are selling for 40$ give or take is being resold for anywhere between 88$ and 475$ per ticket. Holy shit eh.
We work hard to bring you fair pricing for quality events, and it is terrible to see this practiced, so I wanted you to know, and warn your friends so others will not fall victim to these shysters.
