ITP V.015 ONLY ONE PER COFFIN: R.I.P. TERRY JONES (PAGAN ALTAR VOCALIST)

London, UK doom metal warriors PAGAN ALTAR have announced vocalist/guitarist TERRY JONES has passed away today from a year long battle with cancer.

PAGAN ALTAR released "Walking In The Dark" (SINGLE) 9/13/2013 via BURIED BY TIME and DUSK RECORDS, "IMPERIAL ANTHEMS" (SPLIT WITH MIRROR OF DECEPTION) cia CYCLONE EMPIRE.
PAGAN ALTAR released MYTHICAL and MAGICAL 12/18/2006 via ORACLE RECORDS.

Today 15th May 2015, Terry Jones of Pagan Altar lost his battle with cancer. Terry has been fighting this desease for over a year and even though i knew it was coming its still come as a great shock. I have so enjoyed the great times in the studio composing and performing music, travelling the world and being his friend.
Terry you have been the greatest insperation in my life and im going to miss you so very much. I will never ever forget you and will always hold my memories of you dear to my heart.
I will forever be your bass player and we will perform again together one day in the afterlife in the sky...

It's is with great sadness to announce that Terry Jones of Pagan Altar finally lost his extremely Brave Battle with cancer this morning 15th May @ 10:15
Terry has been fighting this for the past year with me Lynn and his family always by his side ..
You all know how much he loved performing and especially to all the wonderful PA Fans he had a pleasure too meet , We are all devoted by his loss and will miss him more then words can say ..
And would like to thank you for your loyal support and love all these years ..

Today we mourn the death of legendary Pagan Altar singer Terry Jones. They played both Hammer Of Doom Festival and KEEP IT TRUE Festival. Terry's voice was always a love it or hate it thing, but always unique...I loved it on every single note he sang. The great magician is gone now forever..RIP Terry

FROM INDESINENCE:
We had the chance to share the stage with Pagan Altar at Dutch Doom Day 2007. Off-stage, Terry was approachable and extremely nice to talk to, something that is often sadly a rarity among musicians one third of his age. On stage, his unique voice totally nailed the songs, among which this one (a personal favourite) was sadly not included. Rest in peace.

A very sad day for everyone in the Heavy Metal community and beyond. We are currently at loss for words, a true friend has left us today. Condolences to Alan, Lynn, Deano and all the family. RIP Terry Jones.
