FROM DUTCH DOOM DAYS 2016 PROMOTERS:
Faal will open this years Dutch Doom Days. So they’ll be the first band you can see on Friday. Their impressive funeral doom will shake Baroeg’s foundation.

On Friday we have added London-based death/doom merchants Eye Of Solitude. Heaviness and awesome melodies guarantee a great performance.

The next band we can announce is the somewhat obscure Taiwaz (Uppsala). The band formed in 1985 and quit in 1991. Around 2011 they reformed, urged by In Solitude's Gottfrid who is currently working with the band on a new album. Expect some old-school doomy heavy metal from these guys on Sunday.

So, the big news is that we have added Friday October 28th. So Dutch Doom Days will be a 3-day event.
The first band we can announce for the opening night is the great Dutch progressive death/doom act Phlebotomized!

Today we announce another talented Dutch band that will open on Sunday. Locus Amoenus started out in early 2015 and play a mixture of doom and black metal. Their debut release is entitled 'Sic Erat Scriptum'.

Sometimes you don’t have to look across boundaries to find an exciting band. So, we are stoked we have added Ggu:ll to the bill. This band from Tilburg has impressed us each time we saw them on stage and their hypnotic, droning doom is a great match to Dutch Doom Days. Their first full-length ‘Dwaling’ is out this spring on Ván Records.

The next band we announce is the band that ignited Dutch Doom Days back in 2002. We are talking about Officium Triste. Back then the idea rose to organise a doom show that actually turned out to be a one-day festival. Since this is a jubilee edition this long running melodic doom/death band simply had to be part of it.
