MAURIZIO IACONO (KATAKLYSM AND EX DEO): COMMENTS ON AVENGED SEVENFOLD "GROUNDBREAKING GLOBAL VIRTUAL REALITY EVENT"

MAURIZIO IACONO, vocalist of Canadian extreme metal bands KATAKLYSM (and also EX DEO) has commented on U.S. hard rock band AVENGED SEVENFOLD'S announcement of a  "GROUNDBREAKING GLOBAL VIRTUAL REALITY EVENT".

KATAKLYSM unleashed "Of Ghosts and Gods",  7/31/2015 via NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS.

FROM MAURIZIO IACONO (KATAKLYSM AND EX DEO):
Don't know how I feel about this news , I mean I love technology and I love progress but theres a special thing about concerts where people pay to see the artists in a special and private way , like a private party in every city , always looked at it like that , this however seems to me , like they are trying to make the world even smaller then it already is with the internet , music buying is already gone ( or almost extinct as we know it with CD's ) streaming as taken over and is the new thing ,I guess im ok with that to a certain extent , but this thing now about trying now to live broadcast the shows worldwide is one thing ( can be done right if the bands are compensanted for it ) but having people wear helmets live why you play so they feel like they are on stage with you ?? Sorry but Im not in mood to play for stiff robots as fans , standing there with helmets on their heads .. fucking weird !!
