ANAAL NATHRAKH: New Track Stream Available Via Decibel Magazine

UK black/extreme metal warriors ANAAL NATHRAKH have posted a new track from the bands anticipated new release "Passion" (due to be unleashed May 17, 2011 via CANDLELIGHT RECORDS) via DECIBEL MAGAZINE.
FROM EARSPLIT PR:
Metal's most imaginative and punishing band returns with their sixth studio album, Passion. Scheduled for a May 17, 2011 release date via Candlelight Records, the duo known as ANAAL NATHRAKH buck all trends. Their hallmark mix of metal, industrial, grind, and noise is virtually unmatched.

With Passion, ANAAL NATHRAKH take their menacing sounds into newer territory that will without doubt find the band an even larger audience while continuing to garner media’s most critical acclaim. Notes popular Canadian site Hellbound, “the UK duo has produced a hurricane of sound, with a whole spectrum of throat-wrenching vocal eviscerations, thundering blasts, grinding riffs, and lightning-speed leads.” MetalSucks proclaims, “ANAAL NATHRAKH are one of the best bands out there when it comes to evoking horror and terror,” while Metal Underground added, “hatred has never sounded as exciting.”

In conjunction with its release, Decibel Magazine is currently streaming "Paragon Pariah," the seventh track from Passion. To check it out, point your browser HERE.

Since being founded in 1999, ANAAL NATHRAKH have gained a reputation for embodying the audio essence of pure evil. Collaborations with such legendary figures as Attila Csihar (Mayhem), Shane Embury and Danny Herrera (Napalm Death), Nicolas Barker (Testament, Dimmu Borgir), Joe Horvath (Circle Of Dead Children), Sethlans Teitan (Watain) and others, have placed the band high on media as well metal fans' “must seek out” list. This, alongside headlining a stage at the renowned cult Inferno Festival in Norway (as their debut international live appearance), countless placements among "Best Album Of The Year" polls and "Album Of The Month" awards in the press, ANAAL NATHRAKH's status as one of the leading lights in extreme metal is undeniable. And growing...

For 2011, ANAAL NATHRAKH presents the digested and re-vomited results of an 18-month journey through slings, arrows and outrageous misfortune. Intended in the most scourging sense of the word, Passion is an encoded vision of agony; desolation taken as the inspiration for incalculable rage. Passion includes guest contributions from Rainer Landfermann (Pavor, Bethlehem) and Alan Dubin (Khanate, Gnaw). Glorying in their Pyrrhic epiphanies, the band have developed a deeper understanding of horror and Passion is the focused, distilled and above all bleakly triumphant result.

FINNTROLL, WINTERSUN, FORBIDDEN Confirmed For Bloodstock Open Air 2011 August 12 - 14 2011 Catton Hall, , UK

FINNTROLL, WINTERSUN and FORBIDDEN are the latest metal acts to be confirmed for 2011's BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR set to take place August 12 - 14 2011, Catton Hall, UK.
FROM BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2011 PROMOTERS:
With a headline cast boasting MOTORHEAD, W.A.S.P and IMMORTAL, BLOODSTOCK announces another 3 fantastic acts for this summer’s festival.

One of the leading names in the folk/pagan metal scene, FINNTROLL returns to

BLOODSTOCK after a rapturous reception back in 2007. Originally conceived as the result of a night of alcholic carnage, when in a moment of inspiration, original guitarist Teemu “Somnimum” Raimoranta (RIP) and former vocalist Jan “Katia” Jamsen conceived of a band that fused the darkness and grandeur of black metal with the traditional Finnish hoedown-music. The resultant sound was FINNTROLL.

Joining them will be Fellow Finnish folk-freaks WINTERSUN, who’s set at BLOODSTOCK this year will be highly anticipated after they were forced to pull out the 2009 event to complete their still to be released “Time” album, expected later this year. Featuring members from some of the top names in the Finnish metal scene including Ensiferum, Rotten Sound and Norther, WINTERSUN are something of a super-group, with the various members influences combining to create a unique blend of melodic death and power metal with a heavy folk flavour that is bound to go down a storm with the BLOODSTOCK crowd.

Also added to the line-up are reformed US Thrash legends FORBIDDEN. The recently reformed thrashers released their first album in over 13 years last October, after too-long a hiatus. “Omega Wave”, released via Nuclear Blast records, received rave reviews in the British metal media and was rapturously received by fans, who lapped up the 12 tracks of no nonsense, back-to basics thrash on offer. Find out why FORBIDDEN are one of the most highly regarded acts of the 80s/90s US thrash scene at this, their first UK Festival appearance.
BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR HISTORY:
Born out of the desire to build a festival the like that had not been seen since the glory days of Donnington's Monsters of Rock, two individuals from totally different backgrounds came together to bring their fellow Metalheads the best Metal festival in the UK, BLOODSTOCK.

Organisers Paul Gregory and Vince Brotheridge first came together when Paul was looking for someone to build his website. Paul met Vince through a mutual friend and soon it became apparent that although their backgrounds differed, their taste in music didn't. After a succession of meetings they agreed to form Amust4music, the umbrella for all bloodstock.

Paul has lived in Derby since he was born, so when he and Vince were looking for a venue for Bloodstock, the Derby Assembly Rooms seemed the ideal solution, surrounded by pubs local eateries and accommodation.

They have the location they had the name, all they needed now was an identity an image to help establish Bloodstock's roots, this is when Paul had the idea of using some of Derby's folk law, 'The Derby Ram' ( No one knows for sure who first spotted 'the finest ram that ever was fed on hay'. Legend has it that this fabulous, fearsome beast was ten yards tall, had a tail like a bell-rope, and the teeth of a regiment of men. The butcher who finally slaughtered the ram was said to have drowned in its blood ).

After Paul painted the first image he decided to give the beast a name, so a competition was held and the name was given, 'S-tan', the name was given by a fan, for fans by fans.

The first headlining band confirmed to play Bloodstock's first show in 2001 was Saxon. This came about as Paul had the good fortune to make the acquaintance of the Band 'Saxon' and their indomitable singer Biff Byford in 1984. He was commissioned to do the artwork for the album and the stage designs, the album was 'Crusader', now a classic in the annals of rock. Paul has painted ten albums to date for the band and has developed a great friendship with Biff and the boys. Saxon were very supportive of Bloodstock and were happy to Headline the very first one day show, alongside Primal Fear, Glenn Hughes, Blaze, Skyclad, Return To The sabbat and many more.

VADER CHANGE LINEUP: Announce New Drummer, Bassist

Vader!
Polish death metal warriors VADER have announced a lineup change as the bands bassist has left and drummer Pawel has left the band as DIVINE CHAOS drummer James Stewart has joined VADER's ranks.
FROM VADER: New musicians, some changes and, hopefully, new great news - hence the new opening in the band. The beginning of the year was marked with Peter's decision about line-up reshuffle - he thanked Reyash for two-years' cooperation. The band and Reyash parted their ways because the latter recently failed on many fields. The main reason for this news is also his statement about reasons for leaving the band which are not true. Here's Peter's explanation on the situation:

"Hail to all Vadermaniax!!! I decided to write this - a little bit untimely - news to correct Reyash's official stance on leaving the band on Blabbermouth. I decided to thank Reyash for over two-year's cooperation in January 2011 and it was solely my decision. The decision was made on his recent behaviour only and definitely not due to his "personal reasons". Reyash is a great mate BUT this isn't enough to be the part of VADER. What's funny is that my expectations are really not that high as it might seem from the personal changes in the band throughout the recent years. VADER is appreciated by YOU just because of us keeping the style, sincerity and quality REGARDLESS the so-called public opinion. Reyash knew that he was to play till the end of the season (promotion of "Necropolis") and his staying in the band depended exclusively on his work during the past two years. I can't understand his trying to give a good account of himself in this situation, the more so because it is insincere. Nevertheless, me and all people contributing to the presence of VADER Commando wish Reyash success, all the best and satisfaction from his work! One should keep good memories only. We're also glad that after Reyash's official statement appeared, we were contacted by lots of bass players willing to join the band, most of them from abroad. However, the decision about who will replace Tomek was made a few weeks ago. We invited Hal (Hermh, Dead Infection, Abused Majesty). This line-up will be seen on stage since April."

Another change was made behind the drums. Due to family matters Pawel decided to leave the band. He is, however, recording the new album with us and will support VADER on the already settled gigs, festivals and tours in May, June and July. His natural successor became very talented 21-year-old English musician James Stewart playing in DIVINE CHAOS. Under this link (http://www.myspace.com/divinechaosband) you can watch him in action when recording the album for his band. James will join VADER in summer season, we don't know yet since which concert.

The choice was obvious, we know James from one of the VADER tours, his band supported us on several gigs. We gave him an assignment to do; he prepared some tracks, presented them on the video and became the new member of our crew! So simple, isn't it? He's a very young, talented and disciplined musician. He belongs to the new wave artists - ambitious, exquisite in their technique, keeping track of the technical novelties. At the same time he's a nice guy, drinking his tea with milk (brrrr!) and craving for success. I believe in this guy! (Mariusz Kmiołek - Massive Music Management)
FROM DIVINE CHAOS:
ts with great honour and privalidge that Divine Chaos can announce to you that our man James Stewart will be joining legendary death metal icons Vader on the drums. James is the best drummer around hence why he got the job, we wish him the best of luck as kicks ass and takes names with Vader. He will be finishing the recording the new album with us as well as the tour and shows we have coming up so make sure you get down to all of those to catch... this guy blast, this one's for James, Fuck yeah!!!!!

EVILE 2011-03-07

With their last hammer-album „Infected Nations", the UK-thrash-bards succeeded a very special firework, which made the band to one of the most important representatives of today's scene. EVILE forces dark themes, authentic old-school-appearances and a very brutal sound-massacre, giving fans of thrash-titans such as Megadeth, Exodus and Forbidden what they truly need. Even after the hard calamity - bassist Mike Alexander died in 2009 during the tour with Amon Amarth totally unexpected - the band didn't give up. So they are back now, ready to destroy METALCAMP 2011.

ITP V.011: THE ART OF DANCE: PART TWO: STAGEDIVING

Here we are, a little later than usual with ITP THE ART OF DANCE PART 2: STAGEDIVES.
STAGEDIVING is described as crowd surfing or finding your way on stage and taking a dive off the stage via the stage monitors or PA. Stage diving is dangerous and only should be done if the mosh pit is packed like sardines and under the condition that fans catch you diving, and surf you up. Please don't stage dive nor crowd surf in you're over 180 pounds, there's nothing like getting squished by some fat tub of lard.
FROM THE URBAN DICTIONARY:
if you are a huge person, and you see a 90 pound chick in the audience, don't stage dive in her direction. she will get crushed/hurt/pissed off. also a bunch of hardcore dudes will try to kick your ass because hurting little chicks at shows is just not cool. i am still bitter to the fat ass who stage dived then landed on me while attending a the Bled show.
An activity for kids who go to underground shows, it involves crowdsurfing your way to the stage and then jumping back into the crowd. If the stage is small enough, a stage diver might just get up on stage and dive off into the crowd. At some shows, particularly hardcore/metalcore tough-guycore shows, the stage diver will jump into the crowd feet first, kicking, and punching violently because he is stupid and has no respect. The crowd generally does not like stage divers who can't see their feet. This activity is not usually found at larger concerts for the venues like to put up barriers between the stage and the floor.
I took a stage dive.

Thanks-Stay Metal, Stay Brutal-\m/ -l-
