CRO MAGS: BAND FIGHT STABBING AT CBGB FESTIVAL AT WEBSTER THEATER

"THE AGE OF QUARREL"- Local New York City, New York newspapers the DAILY NEWS and the NY POST are reporting that current and former members of New York Hardcore legends (NYHC)  CROMAGS were involved in band fight and stabbing. William Berarior and Michael Couls sustained cuts and bites as HARLEY FLANAGAN was taken to Bellevue Hospital in an ambulance with broken leg as he caught two counts of second-degree assault and weapons charges. The CBGB FESTIVAL is set for 7/5-8, 2012 in various venues in beween Manhattan and Brooklyn, (CENTRAL PARK SUMMERSTAGE and WEBSTER HALL) NYC, New York.

On July 6th 2012, he (Harley Flanagan) was arrested for attacking the current bass player of the Cro-Mags backstage at Webster Hall in NYC. The attack was allegedly sparked by Harley's request to play on stage during the Cro-Mags set being denied, as well as him being under a high level of stress due to his recent divorce. It is believed that his intention was to injure the current bass player to force the Cro-Mags to need him to play bass. [2] In his possession at the time of arrest was a VIP laminate from the CBGB festival, which had granted him access to the VIP area where the attack occurred. He received the laminate because he was a panelist at the CBGB festival on the previous day.[3][4]

Our prayers go out to them as well as Mike C. [Michael 'The Gook' Couls], and the others who were hurt, but it was 'his' choice to come to our concert with a hunting knife, standing by our dressing door. Who knows what his actual intent was?! Obviously he wasn't there with it to cut bread for a peace offering as he was heard saying outside he was putting an end to us playing without him. Let's move on now and stop the trash-talking. Keep that PMA — that's what we are all."

"We want to apologize to all our fans. Just so it's clear the incident that happen had nothing to do with any of the bands playing tonight! We were so psyched to play and we are just as disappointed as all of you. Also it was the police that shut the show down not the club or the bands."

We are saddened to learn about the events that occurred last night at Webster Hall. Our primary concern is always the safety and experience of New Yorkers, music fans and the general public. Naturally we will fully cooperate with law enforcement while hoping for the speedy recovery of those injured.

Live music can be incredibly uplifting, empowering and positive. We don't feel the actions of one person should overshadow four amazing days and nights of events that include today's historic and unprecedented free concerts in Times Square and Central Park.
