PUSSY RIOT: Bodies Of 2 Women Found With Message Demanding Group's Freedom

In a bizarre twist to Russian political/punk rockers PUSSY RIOT's controversies, the bodies of an elderly woman and her daughter were found in Moscow (RUSSIA) with a scrawled message (in blood) demanding the freedom of Russian feminist punk rockers PUSSY RIOT. Moscow criminal investigators have stated that the killer was trying to mislead police by diverting attention to the PUSSY RIOT controversy.

Russian, feminist punk rockers PUSSY RIOT have allegedly fled RUSSIA upon band members conviction for "criminal hooliganism". PUSSY RIOT's conviction stemmed from an incident when the band protested Russian President Putin and stormed the alter in a Moscow church, and sung a provocative punk rock protest song.
Human Rights organization AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL have commented on the guilty verdict vs. Russian punk rockers PUSSY RIOT describing them as "political prisoners".PUSSY RIOT, stormed the alter in a Moscow Orthodox church, and sung a provocative punk rock protest song. Four members of the Russian band PUSSY RIOT stormed the alter in costume 2/21/2012 and sang "Virgin Mary, Get Putin Out." The stunt lasted less than a minute before the women were forcibly removed. PUSSY RIOT were charged with "criminal hooliganism" and sentenced to two years in prison in a Russian court.

RACHEL MADDOW, of MSNBC's "THE RACHEL MADDOW SHOW" has hailed the influential Florida (USA) death metal scene as the REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION has put Tampa, Florida in the recent spot light.

Yeh, go to Montreal, Canada, and take a TRAILWAYS bus if you're from New York and bring your passport. There are awesome unsigned, groundbreaking bands melding unlikely genres (blue-grass and death metal, experimental, avant garde) into an awesome synergy of brutality.
Florida has has a decent techno and industrial scene as well, not as good as GERMANY, but good for the USA. MADDOW aint telling us metal heads something we haven't known since the late 80's and 90's. The New York death metal scene could have rivaled FLORIDA. However, NYDM got caught up in NYHC and trends although SUFFOCATION re-united and IMMOLATION are still together. New York DOOM metal and black metal is rising.
The Southern (USA) sludge and stoner doom/rock/ metal scene is more relevant to hipsters (MASTODON, DOWN, EYE HATE GOD, BARONESS, GOATWHORE ect. and maybe factor LAMB OF GOD and GWAR into that as a gateway for the Southern scene) these days.
It is comforting to know DEICIDE, HATE ETERNAL, MALEVOLENT CREATION and MORBID ANGEL are still together, as OBITUARY, ATHEIST and MASSACRE have re-united Also, SIX FEET UNDER and CANNIBAL CORPSE are still bringing brutality and pissing off the conservative censors as the later band opted for a warmer more supportive climate and scene. Many of Florida's most influential musicians were originally from New York/NJ area:

,                                                                     Chuck Schudiner (DEATH/CONTROL DENIED) was born in Long Island, NY, ERIK RUTAN (CANNIBAL CORPSE/HATE ETERNAL) was born in New Jersey as CANNIBAL CORPSE, including CHRIS BARNES (SIX FEET UNDER, formally of CANNIBAL CORPSE) were originally from from Buffalo, NY. DEATH re-united in honer of Chuck Schuldiner (died of cancer 12/13/2001) for the SWEET RELIEF BENEFIT shows this year and are re-issuing the bands entire catalog via RELAPSE RECORDS.
Of course, the extreme metal capital of the world (per capita): FINLAND, GOTHENBURG, (SWEDEN) and NORWAY
(black/viking metal)  with RUSSIA/UKRAINE, CZECH REPUBLIC, FRANCE, GERMANY and NETHERLANDS not far behind (DOOM/BLACK METAL). SOUTH AMERICA, THE MIDDLE EAST, UK and MEXICO are rising with genuine fans and great bands.  American bands, hardcore/metal core and extreme metal have ripped off SWEDEN and NORWAY'S  sound to the point of lack of originality.

ITP V.012 SOCIAL JUSTICE: WEST MEMPHIS THREE UPDATE: New tests on crime scene fibers produce no link to WM3

COMMERCIAL APPEAL states new tests on crime scene fibers have produced NO LINK to the WEST MEMPHIS THREE.

WEST MEMPHIS THREE (Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelly and Jason Baldwin) documentary PARADISE LOST 3: PURGATORY was unleashed in DVD format 8/14/2012. THE WEST MEMPHIS THREE  were convicted of the 1993 ROBIN HOOD HILLS MURDERS (West Memphis, Arkansas) with zero evidence.

JASON BALDWIN, JESSIE MISSKELLY and DAMIEN ECHOLS were freed August, 7th, 2011 via an ALFORD PLEA after serving 18 years in prison (Echols on death row) for the 1993 ROBIN HOOD HILLS MURDERS (West Memphis, Arkansas) with zero evidence as THE WEST MEMPHIS THREE still maintain their innocence. DNA testing excluded the WEST MEMPHIS THREE. THE WEST MEMPHIS THREE are seeking a full exoneration.

As most of you already know, this past year began with a tremendously difficult decision for me and those around me. I am not entirely aware of what went on before the Alford plea was brought to me and to my incredibly dedicated and hard-working attorneys, Blake Hendrix and John Philipsborn. So I can only say I originally turned down the deal after Blake explained it in-depth to me the evening a
fter he first learned of it. I maintained from the start that Damien, Jessie and I are innocent, and though I know nothing was certain, I believe we stood a good chance of that fact being proven in court. Being fully informed of all the ramifications of both choices, I decided I did not want to plead guilty with the possibility of complete exoneration so close at hand.

Ultimately, I changed my mind for Damien and Jessie and their families. I gave no real credence to the idea that I wouldn’t be supported if I chose to stay in while Damien and Jessie walked free (which was not an option anyway). The truth is, I am fortunate enough that both of my parents are still in good health, and I could have survived another couple of years. But I knew that even when we were exonerated, it was likely that Damien’s mother and Jessie’s father—perhaps even Damien himself—wouldn’t be alive to see it. I couldn't make that decision for them, and that is why I took the deal, after Holly and I both spent the few short days we were given agonizing over this impossible choice.

Having said that, this has truly been a year of miracles and wishes come true. At the age of 35, I learned what most kids in America do at the age of 14 to 16, and that was to drive. I bought my first vehicle and earned my first paycheck, beginning work at a construction job three days after my release. (I am now working at a husband and wife law firm here in Seattle.)

This year has also found me on the path to becoming formally educated. I am currently enrolled in undergraduate studies with the hope that someday I can attend law school. I feel this deep need, a desire or calling if you will, to do my part in making this country and this world a better place. I have been so fortunate to spend much of the last year traveling nationally and internationally, lending the voice of my experiences to such issues as eliminating the death penalty and abolishing life without parole for juveniles. When you’ve lived 18 years under the shadow of the State’s very real threat to execute your best friend, that affects you deeply and emotionally. For me, it birthed the desire to see to it that no others suffer in this way. I also have a strong desire to see many of the guys I grew up with get a second chance at life.

As I begin another year of freedom, I am mindful also of the work Holly and I are doing as executive producers of Devil's Knot. This film is a screen adaptation of Mara Leveritt's book of the same name. As the years have gone on, there have been so many who have worked on this case tirelessly and doggedly. One such person is Mara, whom I love and respect deeply. Her tenacity and genuine desire to get at the truth of who murdered Christopher Byers, Stevie Branch and Michael Moore is nothing short of heroism. Mara, you are a real life hero. Of course, without Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky, who documented our trials for their film Paradise Lost, the world would never have learned about the story Mara later detailed in her book. And without Kathy Bakken, Grove Pashley, Burk Sauls and Lisa Fancher of, who spawned the movement to “Free the West Memphis 3,” people around the world--from Eddie Vedder and Natalie Maines, to all of you who gave your time and money--would not have had an outlet for their support. This, as much as anything, is responsible for our freedom. Joe, Bruce, Kathy and Chad, Burk, Grove and Lisa, and all of you who have supported us over these years—you are heroes, too. (There are, of course, too many of you to name, but I would be remiss not to point out these brave people.) With even one piece of this puzzle missing, we would have been forgotten.

Pam Hicks is another person I respect immensely. Spending time with her on the set of Devil’s Knot is an experience I'll never forget as long as I live. It breaks my heart to know she'll never hold her son again on this Earth. But what gives me hope for her is Pam herself. She walked through that set and watched those scenes with a stoicism bordering on nobility. Though I know she'll not have her son back in this world, I also know that Stevie, Christopher and Michael shall not be forgotten, and I am hopeful that one day we will be successful in our ongoing efforts to find their true killer(s). This was the impetus for my eventual involvement with Devil’s Knot—seeing how this telling would be incredibly cathartic for Pam and so many others.

My first exposure to this film, however, came with the understanding that Damien had several objections to the script, though he had not met with the producers to discuss his concerns directly. I pursued a meeting with the producers to address those concerns because the movie was going to be made with or without us; I wanted to make sure it was as accurate as possible. When Holly and I were later offered the role of executive producers, I was reticent because of Damien. However, after it became very clear that Elizabeth Fowler and her production partners had every intention of rewriting the script to address Damien’s concerns (which they did), I chose to officially participate in what I viewed then and view even more now as a truthful, positive, and healing portrayal of this story.

Before I had even made that decision, however, Damien contacted me to let me know that he would no longer make public appearances with me or even communicate with me as a result of my involvement with the film. I have repeatedly reached out to him over the last few months with no response, but I continue to hope that he will come around. My door will always be open, if and when he does.

In the meantime, I also continue to act on the belief that this story belongs to a number of people—not just to Damien, Jessie and myself, but to our families, the families of the murdered boys and, to a lesser degree, all the citizens of the world who are moved by this kind of injustice. As such, I deeply feel that this story should continue to be told in as many ways as possible, for education and healing and to ensure that cases like this don’t happen again. That’s why I’ve spent the last year supporting a great number of projects, including Paradise Lost 3 and West of Memphis, the film produced by Damien and his wife Lorri Davis, which Pam Hicks and I traveled the country with them to promote.

This year was my first ever free as an adult. I do not recoil from the fact that I was literally raised in the Arkansas Department of Correction. It would be unhealthy of me to pretend otherwise. Instead I embrace all that I have been through, endured, survived, and even conquered. When I first entered those prison walls as a frightened, naive target for all the world's hate and rage, I had absolutely no idea what lay on the road before me. At this point I could tell you thousands of stories that illustrate events of the purest evil, hate and abuse, the least of which left my body literally broken.

But that is not what I want you to take away from this.

Instead, I want you to know that what I experienced is so much more than that. I never grew to love prison, but I did learn to love and even forgive the people I lived with while there. I had to face this legion head-on, armed only with compassion and empathy. I am glad to say that these sentiments won out over the years, to the point that guards and inmates alike were crying tears of joy and hugging my neck when I was finally released.

Looking back over my life, I am humbled also by your compassion and empathy—by the number of people who have come running to aid me in reaching the place I am today. If I am looking for a model of the type of human being I wish to be, there is no shortage of you out there for me to emulate. I cannot thank you all enough.

C. Jason Baldwin

LAMB OF GOD: Announces eBay Memorabilia Auction for RANDY BLYTHE Defense Fund

Virginia thrash/core metal warriors LAMB OF GOD have set up a E BAY memorabilia auction to help raise legal defense funds for vocalist RANDY BLYTHE's pending case in the CZECH REPUBLIC. LAMB OF GOD vocalist RANDY BLYTHE was charged with bodily harm in the 4th degree (arrested 6/28/2012) in connection with the (2010) death of a stage diving fan (Daniel Nosek) at a Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC concert.

MACHINE HEAD’s Robb Flynn and Phil Demmel, MEGADETH’s David Ellefson, Slash, and FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Also Contribute

While LAMB OF GOD singer Randy Blythe is back home in America after five weeks in prison in the Czech Republic, his legal problems are far from over. Manslaughter charges are still hanging over Blythe and at some point over the next few months he will have to return to Prague and stand trial. Faced with continuing massive legal bills, LAMB OF
GOD has decided to create an eBay auction of equipment and memorabilia to raise money for Randy’s legal bills. All equipment was either used on tour or in the recording studio or in a video. The auction features items provided by all five members of LAMB OF GOD.

In addition, a number of musicians have offered equipment to be used in the auction. Guitars have been donated by Machine Head’s Robb Flynnand Phil Demmel as well as Slash and Five Finger Death Punch.

Megadeth’s David Ellefson and Five Finger Death Punch’s Chris Kael have each contributed a bass and the members of Five Finger Death Punch also have contributed a signed skateboard.

Justice Now, the site set up for donations, will remain open for those wishing to donate to Randy’s defense fund. The band appreciates all of the support Randy has received since his arrest on June 28th and is thankful for all of the donations that have been made in these tough economic times. Blythe was released from a prison in Prague on August 2, more than a month after he was arrested and incarcerated. Blythe was facing the possibility of conviction and a long-term jail sentence after a 2010 incident in which a fan attending a LAMB OF GOD show died almost a month later, allegedly from injuries sustained when he was thrown off the stage.Blythe's predicament galvanized the heavy rock community, with artists across the hard rock genre pledging their support.

Interviewed by a Czech media outlet before boarding the plane to go home, Blythe said, "I'm relieved to be out of jail but if it's necessary for me to return to Prague to go to this court thing, I certainly will, I'm no flight risk."

Blythe added that he had no memory at all of the incident in question, saying, "I feel very bad that a fan of my band is dead and his family has to go through it, it's terrible, I feel awful for them but it's a tragic coincidence . . . we had no knowledge whatsoever that someone had been injured much less died."

The case is expected to be heard in court in December.

LAMB OF GOD returned to the live stage on August 17 in Council Bluffs, Iowa as part of SLIPKNOT's first-ever Knotfest, an extraordinary two-date metal and hard rock festival.

Blythe and his bandmates are already rescheduling a canceled U.S. tour for October.
