Melodic death metallers Voidfallen have unleashed an intense new single, "Starved Of Martyrs", a first taste of the upcoming album the band is currently working on. The track is accompanied by a brand new and captivating music video, which you can watch here.
Commenting on the new single, Voidfallen states: "Starved of Martyrs is a fast and relentless track that adds almost a thrashy feeling to the band’s otherwise blackened melodeath sound palette. The theme of the song revolves around the toxic glorification of living in misery."
Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, and formed in 2019 as a two man project by guitarists Tommi Kangaskortet and Henri Vuorenmaa, the goal has always been to learn from previous mistakes and to create music with no compromises. After recording the band's debut EP titled "The Sinners, the Plague and the Voidfallen" (2019) the remaining slots were filled with skilled musicians in order to prepare for live shows and ever since, Voidfallen has been making a fast-growing name for itself.
But not only musically in terms of quality of compositions and production, this band has always paid lots of attention to the visual aspects, taking the melodeath genre to new heights with their dark approach and stunning visual effects.
Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut album "The Atlas of Spiritual Apocalypse" (2021), Voidfallen caught the attention of German record label Noble Demon, with whom the band will release their highly anticipated sophomore full-length record in early 2024.

This EP is also the first Eirð release introducing Gina Marjoram as full time member and main female vocalist, therefore her voice is the only one to be heard on this EP apart from a few atmospheric whispers .
In contrast to previous releases "A Luminous Cycle" features a "lighter" note according to the emotional expression and is furthermore the first album since the "A Silent Spirit's Aftermath" demo from 2014 to contain actual lyrics, written and performed by Gina herself on this EP.

The bands signature mix of neanderthalic drumming and stringy
phlegm-like riffs is instantly recognisable to any Death Metal fan.
Equally so is David’s signature vomit-snarled vocals, all of which
immediately will grip you with the fist of festering decay from the
earliest points. Although primal and disgusting as ever, Undergang have
always had a penchant for including gloomy moments betwixt their rot
churning disdain. This new material has plenty of those disgusting
dynamics which throw a superb stench into the air with remorseless
instrumental fury and equally unsavoury vocals, taking everything that
made the Death Metal of old great and plunging it furiously into the
carcass of today like a rusted knife designed to open seeping sores and
spray pus forth upon all within the vicinity. The pulverising
putrescence does not relent…
From the slowest drudges to the grinding fury and all sonic sadism in
between, Undergang’s newest offering is a viciously unpleasant and
transfixing opus of odours most foul. Woefully brutal, most
puny headbangers will simply die from the sheer weight of this thing if
they try to lift it onto their turntable. Any remaining will be
flattened by the brutal gut-opening session that they will be subjected
to 20 minutes of. Although all of their albums contain nothing short of
true magnificent monstrosities from start to end, the amount of
diversity in this miniature tome of auditory violations is impeccable
even by Undergang’s high standard. If you find yourself presented with
this cacophony of rot, then be sure not to miss the opportunity to drown
in the swampy sludge before you, it’s thrilling! If you can make it
through all seven stages of depravity, then you must congratulate your
own hardiness, then find yourself drawn back for more torture! So all of
the odious freaks out there, force-feed yourself this slab of sadism.

OSSUARY - Death Metal emerged in 2012 in the subregion of Eastern Antioquia, Colombia, with a fervent desire to create an old-school death metal style. Over the past decade, OSSUARY has launched three full-length albums with themes focused on death, horror, and lust, changing over time on each.
The forthcoming 4th full-length album contains a different intention in its 11 tracks - WHEN IT ADDRESSES THE CONCEPT OF DEATH. The lyrics are influenced by ufologically themes and even evoke elements of Lovecraftian cosmic horror, the songs throughout the album show a chronology with a certain dialectical intention that arises in the invasion and ends in the worship of extraterrestrial species erected as gods through the subjugation of the human species. As regards the instrumental, it remains faithful to the old vein of the strongly appreciated American death metal of the early 90s.

A few bands are blacklisted from ITP, and one or two venues.
