New signing announcement: Death metal band Goreworm from Canada
We're
glad to work with Canadian band Goreworm who have forged their own kind
of prog/tech death metal music using influences ranging from melodic to
brutal death metal. It sounds strange on paper and yet they seem to
make it work somehow. It takes a few listens for it all to fall in place
but that's part of the charm of this release. Listen to one of the

Band's statement: It is a great honor to be working with Transcending Obscurity Records
for the release of our new record. This one has been a long time
coming, we have had many setbacks but we never gave up and now the time
is here. This new record may be a bit of a new direction for us but the
core elements of Goreworm are still present featuring our fast paced
blend of melodic, technical, and brutal death metal. We hope everyone
who listens will enjoy the music.

Death Metallers GROND unleash a new crushing blow with “Pour le
Mérite”, the 2nd advance single presented as a lyric-video, a dark,
heavy and utterly devastating attack.
The track is taken from their upcoming third album “The Temple”, set for release on April 30th through XTREEM MUSIC on CD and digital formats, ready to destroy everything in its path with crushing riffs and oppressive atmospheres.
Formed
in 2002 in Moscow by Kist (drums/vocals) and Dust (guitars), GROND
officially began their journey in 2005 with the release of their first
demo. After intense live activity and several lineup changes, the band
consolidated their sound with the EP “Steel Coffins” and later with
their debut full-length “Howling From the Deep”, marking the beginning
of their oceanic and maritime-themed identity.
In
2016, they released their second album, “Worship the Kraken”, through
Xtreem Music, further expanding their dark, sea-bound mythology and
strengthening their position within the underground Death Metal scene.
Following European festival appearances, continued live assaults, and
additional lineup changes, the band eventually solidified its current
formation: Kist (vocals), Void (guitars), Sarghas (bass), and Kadath
(drums).
With
this lineup, GROND have recorded their new conceptual album, “The
Temple,” inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s story of the same name and
intertwined with the historical figure of German World War I U-boat
commander Otto Eduard Weddigen.

Band Update – Lineup Change
After a long period of reflection, Goth Gorgon has decided to step back from continuing with Mörk Gryning.
This decision comes from a combination of diverging artistic directions, a decreasing interest in the musical style, and other commitments outside the band. These things happen, especially over time, and we fully respect his choice.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to Goth Gorgon — not only as a band member, but also as one of the founders of Mörk Gryning. His vision, dedication, and contribution have been fundamental in shaping what this band is today.
In connection with this, the position will be replaced by former member Avathar, who was in the band´s line-up during the recording of the album “Maelstrom chaos” from 2001.
The work continues. Mörk Gryning moves forward with full focus on writing and finalizing new material, with the goal of entering the studio before autumn for the next recording.

We have important news for RIOT's upcoming 2026 tour dates, seems like a lot of bands are going through this with members! Unfortunatly singer Todd Hall has informed us he cannot perform with the band anymore at this point because of family issues. We wish the best for him and thank him for his years in the band and who knows what the future might hold! In the great tradition of the band and in Mark Reales beliefs and words, "the show must go on" for the fans! Mike and Don have been a part of the band for over 40 years and this is not the first time we had to deal with this situation and on such short notice, we have searched for fill ins for the 2026 tour runs and luckily we have recruited Italian guitar virtuoso/ singer Valentino Francavilla! Valè has been a long time fan of the band and performed with us in Japan and loves this opportunity to help out one of his favorite bands at this point belting out the highs and a little guitar! ABUSER

and a renewed hunger for destruction. Throughout 2025, the band focused

December 2025, ABUSER officially signed with Xtreem Music, sealing the

guitarist Jack Owen, “This song started when my wife and I were in an
antique store and she found an amber quartz pendant that had lines
through the whole thing. I asked her what it was and she said it's a
Rutilated Quartz. Well, that's all I needed for a title and some lyrical
ideas. The chorus came easy. The verses were from a true crime show
where a woman described being attacked by an assailant who tied her to a
tree and slit her throat. She couldn't speak or scream. In real life
she survived the attack, telling her story with a giant scar across her
throat. In this song, unfortunately she did not survive... My killer
buried her where she will never be found. I wrote the music from scratch
around the lyrical ideas.”

Next
To Die marks a new creative high for SIX FEET UNDER, its dozen songs
marking the band’s fifteenth album since 1995’s Haunted. The record is
essentially broken down into two different sides – Death and Groove –
resulting in an aural masterwork that satisfies SIX FEET UNDER as
artists, while also offering something for every fan. To bring the songs
to brutal life, vocalist Chris Barnes recorded his vocals at the
legendary Criteria Recording Studios in Miami. “I’ve recorded 90% of my
vocals for SIX FEET UNDER there with my longtime friend and engineer
Chris Carroll,” says Barnes. “Criteria has a long and rich history of
recording some of the most famous and important albums in the history of
music. I feel very comfortable working there.”
Produced
by Owens and Barnes and mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis of MRL Studios
in Nashville, Tennessee, Next To Die follows 2024’s Killing For Revenge
and is the third record that Barnes and Owen have created together
since reuniting in 2017.
Barnes
titled the record after the song “Next to Die,” as it “best represents
what is contained within the ideas/storylines of the lyrics of each
song. We don’t discuss lyrical themes, we each write what we’re feeling
and find interesting.” The frontman urges close listening, saying,
“that’s the great thing about music and art and reading. It takes you on
an exploration into your own imagination, and that personal experience
lets you discover what you think the meaning is. Having someone tell you
what it means takes away that magic.”
SIX
FEET UNDER was initially formed as a side project for Barnes during his
final years with the band that he co-founded, Cannibal Corpse. It
became the frontman’s sole focus in 1995, coinciding with the release of
their debut, Haunted. The current lineup of Barnes, Owen, lead
guitarist Ray Suhy, bassist Jeff Hughell, and drummer Marco Pitruzzella
make for a devastating unit.
