HALVAR: BASSIST JOSH BARKLEY LEAVES BAND

Western Cape, South Africa thrash metal warriors HALVAR have announced bassist JOSH BARKLEY has left the band.

HALVAR, via BANDCAMP, are streaming "SADISTIC EUPHORIA", a track from the bands anticipated new release "ANCESTRAL COMMUNICATION", due to be unleashed 3/28/2020 via MMD RECORDS.COMMUNICATION", due to be unleashed 3/28/2020 via MMD RECORDS.

Boys, girls, and NBs. It is with a bittersweet feeling that we announce the departure of Josh, aka “The Djenga Paralyzer,” from Halvar.

After much thought, Josh has decided to move on and shift his focus to new chapters in his life. Josh’s impact on the band can’t be understated. When he joined several years ago we were not the thrashy boys you know today. Promo ideas, the live show, the music videos he’s produced and edited as well as all the other hard work and brilliant ideas he brought to the table. His value will live on for many years to come. Thank you for all the good times.

While we are incredibly sad to see him go, we fully support his decision and wish him nothing but love and prosperity in everything he does next. We love you, Jawsh!

As for what’s next, the show must go on! Catch us at Armchair on April 18th for the Wacken Warm Up Party. Information regarding the search for a new low-end specialist will follow soon.
