Promoters for MESSE DES MORTS (FESTIVAL) 2023, set to take place 11/23rd, 24th and 25th, 2023 MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA have confirmed (the surviving members of) URGEHAL.

Few people outside of the festival organization knew, but we were preparing to announce Urgehal for the second edition of the festival when its founding member Trondr Nefas sadly passed away suddenly, ending the band practically, which then only produced the excellent posthumous Aeons in Sodom album. When we learned in 2022 that Urgehal was retiring for a dozen shows to commemorate Trondr, we did not do one or two and contacted them so that the Mass of the Dead would reach out. Note that the festival will be the only chance for fans this side of the ocean to see the band one last time, as it will be their penultimate show before the members close this chapter once and for all!
