thus the final performer announcement for Fire In The Mountains, we are
proud to welcome an incredibly special exclusive performance from
Iceland’s own SÓLSTAFIR.
As true legends of a strange and remote land, Solstafir captivates with a strange and remote atmosphere of music. Defying all classification just like the land they call home, Solstafir operate in an odd and infinitely genuine atmosphere - one that will find an incredible landing place here in the Teton Wilderness.
The band has masterfully transcended from black metal, to post metal, to the adventurer’s Rock and Roll group they are today. Building their legacy strength of incredible output like 2002’s blistering Í Blóði og Anda and constantly evolving and reinventing up to 2014’s scene setting classic Ótta and 2017’s Berdreyminn - the band has new works looming for 2020, and an incredible exclusive show on the horizon here in the Mountains
We are honored to have them as a featured piece of Ivar Bjornson’s “On Wings Over Utgard”, making the trek over for the appearance, and we cannot wait to share the experience of this band playing below the setting sun of the Rockies.
