On 12/26/2021, former Los Angeles Raiders coach, NFL football announcer commenter and MADDEN FOOTBALL video game franchise owner/creator JOHN MADDEN died at 85..

I loved John Madden, specifically as an NFL announcer back in the 80's. I learned so much about NFL football from John Madden and Pat Summeral. I didn't hurt that JOHN MADDEN was a former NFL coach breaking down NFL football in laymens terms. . There's a reason why NFL videos games are named after JOHN MADDEN. MADDEN retired from NFL football announcing as he didn't like to fly.

Thanks JOHN MADDEN for great NFL football coaching and announcing and helping me to understand NFL football.. R.I.P MADDEN. Thanks for getting me into NFL football.

and honestly, a piece of my childhood and teenage years just went with him. JOHN MADDEN was a multi generational influence as MADDEN has the best winning percentage as the LA RAIDERS coach in NFL football history. MADDEN and his announcing partner PAT SUMMERAL were an iconic announcing, NFL analyst duo. and of course the NFL MADDEN video game franchise. It's safe to say, JOHN MADDEN had a bigger influence on NFL football than the great VINCE LOMBARDI.

I honestly think more retired NFL couches and players should be announcers as I could see PEYTON MANNING being a good announcer. JOHN MADDEN was one of a kind. Have some "turddunkey", watch his new documentary and ,play some MADDEN in his honer. I'm heartbroken.
