GOLGOTHA are Spanish Gothic, death, doom metal band with a unique take on extreme metal. 

Here ITP V.022 has GOLGOTHA'S new release  "MORS DILIGENTIS" on tap to review. 

GOLGOTHA'S  "MORS DILIGENTIS" kicks off with "MY BURDEN"a mournful and melodic piece that washes over the listener. Both clean and death vocals are employed via MARIA LLADO (clean) and MIRIAM VALLES. (death) as the song is both accessible and emotional at the same time. 

GOLGOTHA'S  "OUR TRUST BETRAYED" embodies both hard rock and death, doom within the vocal variety of both clean and death metal vocals. Melodic guitar riffs enhance "OUR TRUST BETRAYED" for a great, Gothic rocker. 

 GOLGOTHA'S "FAREWELL HUMANITY" is the albums longest track clocking in at over 8 minutes."FAREWELL HUMANITY" enters with epic riffing, death vocals and a good balance of clean vocals to get you in a Gothic mood. "FAREWELL HUMANITY" is a wondrous mixture of death, doom and with a Gothic flavor. 

GOLGOTHA'S  "WAITING FOR MY DEATH" enters in a melodic tone, segued into heavier, thrash riffs as keyboards accentuate the track. The death vocals are amazing and the clean vocals accentuate the chorus for an excellent, well written death, doom track. 

GOLGOTHA'S  "UNCONDITIONAL LOVE" crawls in with dramatic piano, death vocals and sparse arrangements for a funeral doom feel. Clean vocals segue into "UNCONDITIONAL LOVE" as melodic guitars and light keyboards swirl into the track."UNCONDITIONAL LOVE" is a melodic, mournful funeral doom ballad.  . . 

GOLGOTHA'S ."ALONE IN THE DARK" is a mid paced Gothic, death, doom rocker, emotional in delivery, melodic in execution... .At 3:35 "ALONE IN THE DARK"  speeds up with blast beats, keyboards and death metal vocals. "Looking for you in the distance" sings  MARIA LLADO exhibiting great clean vocals. 

GOLGOTHA'S ."VIPER TONGUE" employs  keyboards, death and clean vocals into a monumental melodic, Gothic metal song of epic proportions. 

GOLGOTHA'S  "MORS DILIGENTIS" closes with  "WE THE DEMONS", as the track kicks off with Gregorian chants, keyboards and mostly death metal vox.  At 3;04, "WE THE DEMONS" calms for a melodic break with clean vocals before segueing into the main riff. for a symphonic take on death doom. 

GOLGOTHA'S  "MORS DILIGENTIS" is an insightful, well written release of death, doom with Gothic tendencies. 

GOLGOTHA'S  "MORS DILIGENTIS" is a mostly melodic affair, as the release emphasizes death/ doom with occasional Gothic and symphonic flourishes. 

Mostly, at mid pace, GOLGOTHA balance out heavier passages in parts of  "ALONE IN THE DARK". 

GOLGOTHA'S  "MORS DILIGENTIS" is well balanced with excellent songwriting and great segues between death and clean (both female)  vocals, over all a GREAT performance and one of the better releases of 2022. 

Hopefully "MORS DILIGENTIS" raises GOLGOTHA'S  profile and the band hits the road. . .
