Promoters fort WACKEN OPEN AIR, set to take place 8/2, 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2023 WACKEN, GERMANY have announced the festival has halted admissions after heavy rain has turned to mud. Refunds available for those not let in.

There are absolutely no parking options for day-visitors who only want to visit the village for the W:O:A.

In addition to the general arrival stop for the festival, Metalheads without bands should also not visit the village of Wacken.

There is generally no parking available. The shuttles and public transport are equally full and on the verge of overload.

Be sure to avoid visiting the village. It's just not possible.

NO VISITORS TO THE VILLAGE

In addition to the final travel stop for the festival, Metalheads without a wristband cannot visit the village of Wacken itself. There is no parking space for W:O:A visitors that were planning to come to the village only. In general, there are no parking capacities whatsoever. Shuttles and public transport are full and close to being overloaded.

Under all circumstances, refrain from travelling to Wacken village. It is simply not possible.

Information on Ticket Refund 2023

Dear ticket holders,

despite all efforts, we had to announce the final entry stop for the Wacken Open Air 2023 early this morning due to the current weather situation and the impact on the festival grounds. All ticket holders who cannot attend the festival due to it will be refunded the ticket price (including WOA 2023, Bauer Uwes Garden 2023, Residency Evil 2023, Wheels of Steel 2023, Wacken United 2023, Wacken united Catering 2023).

We will provide you with information on all other bookable products as soon as they are available to us. Detailed information about the refund process - and also about when you fans can expect the refund - will be announced shortly. We know that many of you have made great efforts and had a long journey to visit Wacken in 2023. We wanted nothing more than to party with 85,000 metalheads on our holy ground. But under the continuously difficult conditions, we have reached the maximum number of visitors we can accommodate this year. We hope from the bottom of our hearts that we will be able to welcome you in Wacken next year.
