It honoured the spirit of Barangaroo, the Cammeraygal woman who led her people in the face of European colonisation, and the deep connection of Eora women to the waterways of Sydney Harbour.

Black Hole Fest Germania 2025
Dear black hole community,
it is a heavy step for us to inform you that the Black Hole Fest at Balver Cave can't take place in 2025.
Unfortunately, the decision is beyond our control. The city of Balve has not yet positioned itself clearly on how it wants to deal with future events. Discussions about noise protection and other organizational challenges make the situation considerably difficult for local events. Unfortunately, as the youngest organizer in the region, we had no way to create a perspective for 2025.
We deeply regret this decision. Balver Cave has always been a place to make us feel welcome and inspired. Working with the city, the fraternity and of course with you - our community - has always been a pleasure and an honor. We have always appreciated your support and praise in the past, and it keeps us going.
Yet we will not be discouraged. 2025 may have driven us out of Balve, but the flame of the Black Hole Fest continues to burn unstoppable. And we promise you: for 2026, we will do everything we can to revive the Black Hole Fest in Balver Cave and bring darkness back where it belongs.
To beat the wait, we have something special planned for 2025. On the 19th. and 20. December 2025 Black Hole Fest Germany - Frost Edition will be a reality! A frosty, unholy celebration that will transform the darkness of this season into a pulsating, chilling cold night of Black Metal, raw energy and boundless devotion.
The Frost Edition 2025 will take place at the legendary Hellraiser Leipzig, a place that is made for this grim ritual. This special date – just before the winter solstice – makes Black Hole Fest Germany an event to remember. It will be a ritual of darkness, where we celebrate the longest night together and welcome the icy cold into our hearts. Two days of intense music, raw atmosphere and unbridled passion await you.
The Black Hole Fest Germany will be breaking down like a raging snowstorm over Leipzig, and we can't wait to share this frosty celebration with you. The darkness lives on - and we invite you to be a part of this unique chapter.

There are several reasons for this, main reason is that the stress / effort went way above the joy / personal fulfillment in the last 2 years.
I'm running the label in addition to a fulltime job & I realized that I just don't want to deal with the kind of issues I had to deal with especially with the production of the last 2 releases in my spare time.
These experiences have really been the nail in the coffin.
This may be the good thing about not being dependend on the label financially - I can stop whenever I want to & now is the time.
After 13 years of handling production, packing orders, answering customer emails this chapter comes to an end.

I have to get something of my chest. This constant bs about metal bands using A.I. albumcovers more and more. There are a few reasons.
First, huge budgets for real paintings are a thing of the past. Secondly, the idea of having mutilated bodies, zombies and extreme gore are also a thing of the past for Pestilemce.
When you want to survive in the nowadays industry you have to adapt and Pestilence has always been known to look ahead and never fall back into the old habits not just music style wise but every other new release has had a new approach to our own musically, unlike most acts that rely on their older legacy.
When we released "Levels of Perception" that was aimed to revisited the demo style recording, that was asked for by many fans, they didn't like the production they asked for themselves. With "Portals" we will, again, follow our own path and you could teally dig it. As an example this "drawing" was considered to be amazing on my personal FB site. This is also A.I., and is an amazing piece of art. Not the albumcover by the way!!!
And now the real question: would you not buy and album with killer production and song just because a cover is A.I.? Then you are not listening to our compositions that are fully handmade. But rather are concerned with the 40× past you have been living in. Start embracing the future of music that is Pestilence
