 MY DYING BRIDE are an incomparable, groundbreaking death, doom band from England.melding death metal vocals with clean vocals and somber melodies, MY DYING BRIDE have influenced and pioneered a  whole sub genre of metal 

Here ITP V.024 has MY DYING BRIDE'S new release "A MORTAL BINDING" on tap for review. 

MY DYING BRIDE'S  "A MORTAL BINDING" kicks off with "HER DOMINION (HER THROAT LABOURS AT THE WORK OF FELATE)", as a sinister riff cascades through the intro of the song. 

 "HER DOMINION" gets heavy with a chugging riff, violin and good tight drumming. "HER DOMINION"'S main riff seems to be of a BLACK SABBATH influence. . .

  MY DYING BRIDE'S "THORNWYCK HYMN (A CHOIR OF SORRY GIRLS)" (A CHOIR OF SORRY GIRLS)" kicks off heavy with a staccato thrash riff. Clean vocals soak "THORNWYCK HYMN (A CHOIR OF SORRY GIRLS)" as the band hash out some dark doom. "THORNWYCK HYMN gets better as the track goes along with beautiful melodies set to a snails pace. .

MY DYING BRIDE'S "THE 2nd of  "THREE BELLS (EVEN TIME WISHES YOU WERE HERE)"  is one my favorite tracks on  "A MORTAL BINDING". Entering with slow guitar picking  "THREE BELLS" picks up at mid pace with a gorgeous melody and tight drumming."THREE BELLS" picks up the pace with death metal vox before slowing down again.  AARON STAINTHORPE'S clean and death vocals are as emotive as ever.  

 MY DYING BRIDE'S "UNTHRONED CREED (FILLED WITH BEAUTIFUL BLOOD)", kikcs off with complex and catchy riffing before segueing into a chugfest with STAINTHORPE'S signature clean vocals. A majestic riff breathes life into "UNTHRONED" as quality riffs slowly swirl through the song. . Cool track. 

MY DYING BRIDE'S "THE APOCALYPTIST (HE DID NOT WEEP FOR ME)", at over 11 minutes is the longest track on "A MORTAL BINDING". "THE APOCALYPTIST" kicks off with somber violin segueing into a malicious riff. STAINTHORPE'S death metal vox barks out as the riff drifts. 

"THE APOCALYPTIST" continues segueing a hard rock riff into a soft interludes.. MY DYING BRIDE breaks into death, doom, crawling at a snails pace. AMAZING.  .   

 MY DYING BRIDE'S "A STARVING HEART (BEYOND THE RIM OF SKY)" kicks off with a gorgeous strummed guitar riff into some epic doom.A beautiful violin melody invoked the most sorrow as "A STARVING HEART" is classic death doom. 

  MY DYING BRIDE'S  "A MORTAL BINDING" closes with "CRUSHED EMBERS (A VOICE FULL OF TEARS)",  featuring STAINTHORPE'S clean vocals (and later death) echo melancholic emotions and along side a prominent violin melody, invokes heartfelt doom and gloom. 

 MY DYING BRIDE'S  "A MORTAL BINDING" is an emotive work of art featuring quality riffs, great songwriting and productions. 

MY DYING BRIDE'S  "A MORTAL BINDING" atmosphere of gloom washes over you and cleanses you with melancholic tones. 

The melodies, the crushing riffs, drenched with sadness, melody, I have no regrets listening to  MY DYING BRIDE'S  "A MORTAL BINDING", perhaps AOTY. 

.MY DYING BRIDE' cancelled all promotional tours for  "A MORTAL BINDING", as I hope this is NOT the beginning of a lineup change or the end. 

The world needs MY DYING BRIDE, a light in darkness. ,
