ITP V.013 ONLY ONE PER COFFIN: R.I.P RICHIE HAVENS

Legendary 60's folk icon RICHIE HAVENS has  passed away at 72 (heart attack). Know for a distinct, percussive guitar sound, social political lyrical themes, awesome rock covers and riveting live performances including WOODSTOCK '69, '94 and various WOODSTOCK anniversaries in BETHEL, NY.  
HAVEN's spontaneously opened WOODSTOCK '69 in BETHEL, NY as another artist was late with equipment issues. 
RICHIE HAVENS opened WOODSTOCK '94 (Saugerties, NY) to over 200, 000 rabid and attentive fans as Michael Lang's stood on the stage and introduced HAVENS.
                                                                                                                                                      ITP V.013 EDITORS NOTE: Wow, it raining DEATH, this month, and it feels a little worse than 2010. Richie Havens passed today, as he was an amazing, culturally significant folk artist. If like myself, you attended WOODSTOCK '94,(I wasn't born before '69) he was the first act of the festival, as we were standing there in the hot sun, waiting, and Michael Lang was on the side of the stage introducing Richie Havens.
