JOEY LACAZE, (DRUMMER) of New Orleans, Louisiana sludge/doom metal legends EYEHATEGOD passed away yesterday after noon (8/23/2013) at 42 years old. JOEY LACAZE's cause of death was "respiratory failure from asthma".

EYEHATEGOD were confirmed for a 25th anniversary fall 2013 U.S. tour.

 EYEHATEGOD unleashed "New Orleans Is the New Vietnam" (2012-SINGLE) via A389 RECORDINGS.
EYEHATEGOD unleashed "99 miles of Bad Road" (EP) via 2+2=5 RECORDS and the bands most recent full length release "Confederacy Of Ruined Lives" 10/3/2000 via CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS.

 I was just thinking about them (EYEHATEGOD) yesterday,.In 1998, I traded my 1985 Iron Maiden Powerslave t-shirt for Eyehategod's "Take As Needed For Pain" release. Great band, and they really should be bigger.  For shame.Eyehategod are celebrating the band's 25th anniversary. R.I.P. to JOEY LACAZE and condolences to his friends, bandmates and family.

Joey is all the way to the left in the picture, next to Bower. He was a funny, funny, man & I'm so sorry he's gone. I hope you are at peace, bro."
