*Chicago, Illinois doom band NOVEMBERS DOOM have pulled OUT of their previously scheduled January (2009) tour with ROTTING CHRIST as NOVEMBERS DOOM'S drummer has split with the band. Sasha Horn returns as NOVEMBERS DOOM's drummer.
*Norways's STONEGARD have disbanded and pulled out of the November 2008 ENSLAVED European tour. Norways AUDREY HORNE (featuring members of ENSLAVED, I and SAGH) will be replacing STONEGARD.
*ARSIS bassist Noah Martin has left the band to pursue a degree.
*Polish death metal heroes DECAPITATED have issued a statement on the recovery of vocalist COVEN after the tragic tour bus accident in Russia last year: "Adrian is during a long and hard recovery but his state is getting a little and slowly better. Adrian's family would like to thank fans and all the people for their support, donations, patience and faith."
*MORRIGAN and GERNOTSHAGEN have both pulled out of the HEATHEN CRUSADE FEST (St. Paul, MN 11/14+15, 2008). Seattle's INQUISITION and Mexico's ULVEHEIM will replace both bands.
* Legendary and reunited U.S. grind pioneers BRUTAL TRUTH are working on their first studio release in 10 years.
*Norwegian black metal band VREID (former members of WINDIR) will be performing at NYC's CMJ MUSIC convention October 25th at the Knitting Factory (tap bar).
*Norway's DIMMU BORGIR will employ session musicians on this run of U.S. dates with DANZIG: CYRUS of SUSPERIA (guitar) and DARAY (VADER) on drums.
