BTW, we support MUSIC and not rumors on ITP, rumors about awful emo bands relocating out west whom got signed are unconfirmed vs. agendas, get your facts straight, and we DON'T cover that and have, don't and will NEVER have anything to do with that garbage, in theory, musically and mentally and don't and never have attended such shows. If someone wants to be sued, considering the circumstances, "douce" is jonesing to do the honers. Consider your source when being lied to.
BTW, upon my discharge from an injury, there was no water where I live, fucking slumlords, right in the middle of a shower. Fix it, or get sued.
On the extreme metal front: No one has heard anything or any announcements about a 2009 NEW ENGLAND METAL and HARDCORE FEST. : Shrugs: Not sure if that's happening in April or the fest has gone down the toilet with a receding American economy and the hardcore trend. No confirmation on New England Metal and Hardcore Fest 2009 just yet, we'll keep ya covered on that as well.
HOWEVER, the priority of the winter of 2009 is warmth through brutality. There are some good extreme metal festivals down south here in the USA. These are some brand new extreme metal festivals as the "Scion Rock Fest" in HOT-LANTA (Atlanta, GA) looks awesome, very metal and very brutal. If you were lucky enough to have seen NEUROSIS, and MASTODON last year in NYC, you're in for real treat in Atlanta (2009) as well. UPDATE 1/16/09: Is the SCION fest FREE? Here it is. The pre announced move comes true. After 10 years in Trutnov Na bojišti this year..s volume of the obscene circus is going to move to a new fest venue in Svojsice u Prelouce.
There were many reasons for this change. One of the crucial ones was an absolute impossibility to control the refreshment on the „Na Bojisti“ venue resulting in the fact we had no influence on the quality and price of the food and drinks on the fest. That is why we have decided to take this part of OEF under our own control. We are fully aware of the fact that many of you travel quite a long way. So, we aim to guarantee to treat you in the manner to which you have been accustomed at OEF.
We want to thank to all who helped us with the organization of the fest in Trutnov throughout these 10 great volumes be it the representatives of the town, police, hotel owners..... In fact to everyone, without whose help & cooperation we would not have been able to enjoy 10 unforgettable years in „Na bojisti“.

The fest venue in Svojsice may not be unknown to most of you. In the past several volumes of the biggest Central European punk festival ANTIFEST and also two volumes of BRUTAL ASSAULT took place here.
We were choosing the new venue very carefully and it resembles the old venue in many aspects as you can see on the pictures on our website. There should most probably be available 3 campsites very near the venue for you this year. We consider to organise several bus lines from Pardubice to Svojsice in the course of the fest. Of course we plan also some innovations & we will keep you up to date about these during the coming months.

WACKEN OPEN AIR (Wacken, Germany) is the premier extreme metal festival in the world. WACKEN OPEN AIR is again SOLD OUT for 2009 well in advance, as 2009 is perhaps this fests WEAKEST lineup. However, Norway's BORKNAGAR have confirmed their addition to 2009's WACKEN OPEN AIR, as this fest is the ultimate three day metal party, as the global fan contingent make this fest quite unique.

Wacken Open Air festival was honored with a Live Entertainment Award in the "Festival Of The Year" category. This award recognizes distinguished achievements in live entertainment and is given out by Live Entertainment Award (LEA) committee. The winners were announced on March 11, 2008.
