MARDUK ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

Swedish black metal legends MARDUK have announced a North American tour with MERRIMACK (France), NACHTMYSTIUM , MANTIC RITUAL and BLACK ANVIL. Now that MARDUK are all clear with their U.S. VISA's, Sweden's black metal masters have announced their first North American tour since 2002. FROM MARDUK: MARDUK will be joined by NACHTMYSTIUM, MANTIC RITUAL, MERRIMACK and BLACK ANVIL (on select dates).

Dubbed U.S. Plague Tour 2009, the trek will kick off on November 20 at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts and run through 21 more dates before coming to a close in New York City on December 16 at the Gramercy Theater, where the band recently played to an overwhelming crowd response.

MARDUK's eleventh album, "Wormwood", will be released in the U.S. on October 13 via Regain Records. The CD, which will be made available in Europe on September 24, was recorded at Endarker Studios in Norrköping, Sweden with engineer/producer Magnus Devo Andersson. The album's release will be followed by a world tour, dubbed "Funeral Nation 2009/2010", which will kick off in Europe.
