ITP extends best wishes to all on this GAY PRIDE month/GAY PRIDE DAY in the Hudson Valley Area of New York. I'm waay to busy to go to the events, maybe San Francisco sometime? Let's rewind to 2008/09 when an awful PSA was aired on American TV promoted via homophobic religious fanatics entitled "The Storm Is Coming". Of course, late night TV viewers would recognize the sponsorship of these PSA's, by, lol, "the weather". Weather is very prevalent in religious imagery, as blue clouds and sun rays defines "heaven" and dark clouds with lightning defines "God is Pissed".
How Do I KNOW that weather is a huge part of religious imagery. I was born a catholic, and after I was adopted, I'm an staunch atheist. Due to religious soap boxing via biological and foster family when I was a wee pup, I have an irrational fear of lightning. ..30 years later, I'm a proud atheist, and proud to be gay.
The first time I saw "The Storm is Coming" PSA I blurted out, "This is the worst homophobic, bigoted PSA, sponsored by Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints". I was close and in the ball park as the "Storm Is Coming" PSA is a part of a 20 million dollar, bigoted campaign sponsored by Mormons, NOM, and pro prop 8, anti gay, right wing, religious fanatics.
However, if we would humor these right wing religious fanatics on the issue of gay intolerance and homophobia, you would get a laugh at these videos on YOU TUBE challenging the twisted pretzel logic of these religious, anti gay, bigots and be able to laugh at the ignorance of homophobia and America's inability to separate church from state.
ITP officially supports same sex marriage, marriage equality and gay rights.
