METAL HAMMER/TEAM ROCK: SET TO CLOSE

 Long running music/metal zines METAL HAMMER (CLASSIC ROCK, PROG ROCK) and TEAM ROCK are sadly liquidating leaving quality metal/music journalists, writers and editors unemployed.
There has been no official statement from TEAM ROCK at press time.

 FROM BLOODSTOCK:
Bloodstock HQ is very sad to learn of the closure of Team Rock today, leaving many of our media friends and strongest supporters without their December pay cheque and an uncertain future, right before Christmas.
Firstly, we want to take the opportunity to thank them for their huge support of Bloodstock over the years and we very much hope a solution can be found for the continuation of the Metal Hammer, Classic Rock and Prog brands.
Secondly, Ben Ward, frontman of Orange Goblin has started a crowd funding page to help those loyal staffers, many of whom have worked at Metal Hammer for many years, dedicating their careers to promoting the metal scene we all love. If you've ever enjoyed an issue of Metal Hammer, Classic Rock or Prog mag and are in a position to find a few quid to support your metal brethren, we urge you to do so via the link below. It's times like these when the metal community really looks after its own.

Absolutely crazy that Team Rock has gone into administration today, and our thoughts are with all the staff and great people who worked at Metal Hammer, Classic Rock and Prog.
Metal Hammer especially have been hugely supportive of Holy Roar in recent years. Sad times.
