GORGASM: "It’s with a heavy heart that I have to announce that I am leaving Gorgasm (for real this time, lol). The reason being that because of my demanding work schedule and increasing responsibilities,"

Lafayette, Indiana, U.S.A. based death metal warriors GORGASM have announced longtime bassist ANTHONY VOIGHT has left the band as ANTON ZHIKHAREV will take over bass duties.

It’s with a heavy heart that I have to announce that I am leaving Gorgasm (for real this time, lol). The reason being that because of my demanding work schedule and increasing responsibilities, I can no longer put forth the time and effort that the band deserves. I feel that with their growing touring schedule, I will be holding them back, and that I will not do. I honestly believe that Gorgasm should be constantly touring and bringing live performances across the globe. In fact, the only good part of this decision is that I will be able to watch them live once again! A huge thank you to Damian Leski and Kyle Christman for bringing me in and introducing me to what has come to be one of the most amazing experiences in my life. The places I’ve played and the people I’ve met along the way have been phenomenal. Best of Luck to Damian, Sasha Chrosciewicz and Matt Kilner as they continue to shape Gorgasm’s Legacy. I will be joining them one last time on a 2-week tour through the US this June. After that I will take my leave and the rest of the guys will be heading out to meet up with Anton Zhikharev, who will be taking my spot as they begin their European tour late June Early July. Finally I want to thank everyone that has supported Gorgasm throughout the years, all of the bands I’ve shared the stage with, and the fans that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting along the way. It’s been a total blast.

Gorgasm welcomes Anton to hold down the low end live for the "Aggressive Misanthropy Across Europe Tour 2019" alongside Abnormality and Cenotaph. This will be a must see live experience. Spread the word and see you there!

GORGASM always been one of my favourite Brutal Death Metal bands for sure.When Anthony Voight told me that he's leaving band after US tour and wanted to see me on his place i was very upset and excited at the same time(and still).Because i know him many years, he's like my older brother and he's a very good man.But it's only his decision and all i can do is play music and try to fit well. Right now i'm focused only on GORGASM stuff to do my best. Can't wait this summer to join band and share stage with mr. Damian Leski , Sasha Chrosciewicz and Matt Kilner .I am greatly appreciate for giving me chance to be the part of this monster.
