WOODSTOCK 2019 (MICHAEL LANG) 8/16th, 17th, and 18th, 2019 in WATKINS GLEN, NEW YORK: DENIES FESTIVAL CANCELATION

According to the Poughkeepsie, Journal, WOODSTOCK '69, '94 and '99 promoter MICHAEL LANG has denied the cancellation of the 50th anniversary 2019 fest stating "WOODSTOCK 50 vehemently denies the festivals cancellation and legal remedy will be sought."



  WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL 50th anniversary festival, set to take place 8/16th, 17th, and 18th, 2019 in WATKINS GLEN, New York have yet to obtain proper permits from the NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH as promoter agency DENTSU AUGIS NETWORK AMPLIFI LIVE  pulled out of their agreement with the festival.











MICHAEL LANG states that Bethel, New York does NOT have the capacity to host his festival.

But despite our tremendous investment of time, effort and commitment, we don't believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worthy of the Woodstock Brand name while also ensuring the health and safety of the artists, partners and attendees."
"As a result and after careful consideration, Dentsu Aegis Network's Amplifi Live, a partner of Woodstock 50, has decided to cancel the festival. As difficult as it is, we believe this is the most prudent decision for all parties involved."
Reps for the festival say concerns about the capacity of the festival, site readiness and permitting issues led to the cancelation of the commemorative event.
