Faroe Islands based death doom metal warriors announced the bands primary songwriter and guitarist JOHN EGHOLM has left the band.

Dear all,
It is a strange sadness with which we announce that John - the original Hamferðian, founder of the band, songwriter and guitarist - has decided to leave the Hamferð ranks.
His reasons for this are due to personal priorities, and though we are sad to no longer have him on the team, we must acknowledge that life happens, and we fully support his decision.
John's contributions to the band - both in terms of music and shared experiences - are beyond measure, and the rest of us are eternally thankful for all he has given us. Luckily, our friendship endures!
Join us in wishing him best of luck in his future endeavors, not the least with his other musical projects, including Hamradun!
