 DISKORD are a Norwegian technical death metal trio incorporating elements of jazz, math core, prog and grind core. 

Here ITP V.021 has DISKORD'S new release  "DEGENERATIONS", .

DISKORD'S "DEGENERATIONS". kicks off with  "LOITERING IN THE PORTAL" as the first minute of the track will have heads spinning. "LOITERING IN THE PORTAL" adds elements of punk and grind core with dizzying time signatures. 

 DISKORD'S "BIONIC TOMB ETERNAL"  enters with a funky bass line into some progressive death grind. "BIONIC TOMB ETERNAL" spices up the tasteful track with odd breakdowns, blast beats with post rock and death metal riffing.

DISKORD'S "ABNEGATIONS" enters with BLACK SABATH riffing, and speeds up adding elements of technical math core complete with complex breakdowns. An excellent guitar solo adorns "ABNEGATIONS" with swift time signatures, death metal vocals and a cauldron of post metal, prog,  technical riffs.  

 DISKORD'S  "THE ENDLESS SPIRAL" crawls in like the soundtrack to a horror movie and gains speed with technical riffing segueing into grindcore. No riff is performed for a significant period of time, as they change in a blink of an eye. . 

Forty five seconds into DISKORD'S  cheeky "DIRIGISTE RADIO HIT", the bands goes off into a progressive binge seguing from death grind to more mid paced textures  complete with technical jazz guitar. DISKORD'S  "DIRIGISTE RADIO HIT" takes off into the night with vicious death, grind, prog and thrash riffing. DISKORD'S drummer HANS ERSVIK is very busy with blast beats, prog time changes and even a cowbell or two. 

 DISKORD'S "LONE SURVIVOR" is an experimental track, practically instrumental marking the half way point of the release. . 

 DISKORD'S "DRAGGED FOR CORONATION" is spastic in its approach with odd time changes and technical mastery spawned by excellent musicianship. 

 DISKORD'S "CLAWING AT THE FABRIC OF SPACE" mixes psychedelia, doom and vicious death grind with progressive and thrash riffs. Awesome and moshable. 

.DISKORD'S  "ATOMS DECAY" is straight up technical death grind with progressive textures and plenty of blast beats to get a pit moving. 

.DISKORD'S "RAGING BERZERKER  IN THE UNIVERSE RIGID" is a tasteful nod to brutal death grind complete with a slow and fast breakdowns, dissonant, technical riffs with a progressive sensibility. 

DISKORD'S "GNASHING" features the utter brutality, speed of progressive death grind and a psychedelic break down. 

 DISKORD'S "DEGENERATIONS" closes with "BEYOND THE GRIME" enters slow before morphing into a banger with blast beats, dissonant and thrash riffs and violin.  "BEYOND THE GRIME" employs slow and fast dynamics with post metal sensibilities. 

 

DISKORD'S "DEGENERATIONS" features AWESOME musicianship and a "throw everything in, even the kitchen sink" approach.  DISKORD' seamlessly  meld death, grind, with technical, math metal, and enough riffs per track to eat and meal. 

 DISKORD'S musical ambition is easier said then done, as the execution is perfect reminding me of CEPHALIC CARNAGE, CRYPTOPSY and THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN.  

 DISKORD'S weird world of riffs is both mind blowing and dizzying as this is alot to digest, absurd in ambition , amazing in delivery. . 

I bet DISKORD crush live, and with tighter songwriting we'll be hearing more from them in the future. 

DISKORD'S "DEGENERATIONS" is an innovative, quirky, damn charming and insightful listen.
