ITP V.021 EDITORS NOTE:

Interesting article on BLABBERMOUTH.NET. I love SUFFOCATION btw, specifically with former lead vocalist FRANK MULLEN. I'm half black and a quarter native American. I love extreme metal. And unfortunately I've experienced racism from both whites and younger blacks. However, certain markets and countries have a multi cultural metal scene specifically New York City, L.A. and Chicago. African countries have a rising extreme metal scene. Asia (China, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan) have rising extreme metal scenes. Rap and R and Rand B is huge here in the states. However, Nu metal and hard rock packs arenas here in the U.S.A. There may be music industry racism regarding up and coming extreme metal bands with members of color. However, the U.S. hardcore and metal core scene has many black and Latino members specifically in New York and L.A. Over all, music knows no color and women, people of color and LGBTQ should be encouraged in extreme metal. There is no room for fascism in metal.
