Australian  black metal warriors DESTROYER 666 show at BAROEG, ROTTERDAM, Netherlands has been CANCELLED due to the bands alleged fascist leanings.

Dear visitor,

Two articles on Rijnmond.nl and on AD.nl make allegations about the alleged fascist and racist nature of the band Deströyer 666 booked in Baroeg on March 19, 2023. We are shocked by these messages. In our opinion, the lyrics and nature of the band did not give us any reason for these claims.

After all the commotion due to the reports, we have reconsidered this booking. Based on this reconsideration, we have decided to cancel the band's performance. We regret this decision for the people who were looking forward to the concert, but we believe this choice is best for Baroeg. The band has made several controversial statements in the past. Expressions we weren't all familiar with when booking the band. Whether or not cancelling the band calls for mixed reactions within all branches of our organization and we understand that.

Within Baroeg we want to broaden the discussion in order to make the unrest that has arisen regarding the reporting negotiable and thus return the peace within Baroeg. We are actively discussing this with visitors and employees. Our priority at the moment is to create a peaceful environment in Baroeg itself, from which we will review the guidelines on whether to book and not to book bands in the coming time.
